8.5/10

Very good suspense drama, it was a bit difficult to get started at first, mainly because there were too many characters on the stage. After S03, it gradually became better, and in the later period, it was even more climaxed.

The monologues of a character in each episode are both novel and easy. The story is clear and self-consistent. Although there are many characters involved and the relationship is complicated, it can actually come back after a round trip.

Characters are a bright spot. Everyone here, except for the black boss (a complete bastard) and a thug (a tool man with money) who are almost flat villains, everyone has a relatively complete personality curve, even the special case team. Sadistic Sheriff, as the villain, he also showed warmth. He may not be worthy of sympathy or love, but his death gave me a brief touch.

In addition, the female characters here are worth mentioning alone. The three sisters helped each other escape from the magic cave, and then protected and redeemed each other. Even betrayed and hurt, but still can't let go of the true feelings of sharing weal and woe. The female police insisted on their beliefs, not afraid of power, withstood pressure, defended the law, defended justice, and at the same time let go of their knots. The mother who loses her independence is strong and wise. The one who seems the most vulnerable is actually strong and wise. She chose not to tolerate the male protagonist, but to reconcile with everyone and herself. This is brilliant and great. Coupled with the female detective and the sister-in-law, two people with little pen but the key role, the interaction of these groups of women and the fate of mutual cause and effect are intertwined, letting people see the shining female power. This drama is a proper heroine group portrait drama. It is not an exaggeration to say that women save women. I sigh that the hero is really useless, nothing has any effect, and the last episode of Runaway is a bit confusing, really. The two most outstanding male characters here should be the conscientious young agent and the strong police chief...

But I don’t know why, this originally shining point was used by a few lunatics as gunmen and inciting opposition. Among them, there are many high praise film reviews/short reviews. It is true that everything can be crazy. The biggest obstacle to women's status is not patriarchy at all, but you lunatics. Please don't defile the film and television works, don't defile men, don't defile women, and don't defile the term feminism.

Of course, this drama is not without its shortcomings. I have manually ignored a few small incomprehensions, because it is too difficult to round out such a story. I only talk about a few big ones that I don't understand. In the last episode, the father’s reversal is weaker. It’s not that the character can’t be dark. It’s just that the front is too early and it’s not enough. It’s not mentioned in the middle. It may be in order to be unobtrusive, and the final detonation is not effective. Well, one is that the narrative is too hasty (of course, there is no time to start), and the other is that it is not convincing enough. No matter how powerful a doctor is, he will not be able to open up all the relationships and engage in such a big event. This behavior cannot be explained by pure love (son), hatred (male protagonist), and guilt. Moreover, his father's crazy darkening is not very helpful to the three-dimensional sense of his characters. Such a segment feels like a limited drama that was made up in the last forty or fifty minutes.

There is also a problem with the host’s design. He is a useless person, that’s okay, but I don’t mind making him a little darker. The two most controversial things about him are the accidental deaths of youth and inmates in the whole show. The death of the young man, even though he had intentional intentions, the behavior was accidental, and the law has already concluded (even if he admits in court, it is difficult to judge intentional in nature in the context of the actual situation). The death of the inmate was bullied, and his life was indeed threatened afterwards. The murderous intentions were dark and elusive but understandable. The last-second reversal does not seem to be a subversion of the role. At best, it can only show that everyone is in the heart. There are ulterior secrets. The rhythm is also a bit problematic. The big stalk will be announced in S05. S06 and 07 belong to the fate of the characters, and the ending of S08 is a bit weak.

Overall it is quite good, rare excellent suspense works, and even rare suspense works with women occupying the main stage. Everyone is running for destiny. It is not the privilege of men to fight. Women's fights never rely on destroying men. There is no such thing in TV dramas, and nothing outside of TV dramas.
