Yes, this is a story about a sick family and the weird members that make it up.
The protagonist Margot is perverse, inferior, hypocritical, and insecure. His attitude towards his son is sometimes bad and he can't handle interpersonal relationships well. As a counterattack sister Pauline had to face her tit-for-tat from time to time.
My sister's fiancé, Malcolm, is a complete loser. Engaged in music, drawing, and writing, but never succeeded. Make excuses for your failures and talk all day long.
Can't help but wonder, what is wrong with this family? Why do all adults not behave like adults? What about the rude and weird neighbor? How likely is it for so many weirdos to gather together? Regrettably, the film failed to give the answer I wanted, and it made people feel sullen.
The old tree in the backyard was eventually cut down, smashing the wedding shed. The wedding could not be held as scheduled. Margot's relationship with her sister remains the same.
At least at the end of "Squid and Whale" we saw a glimmer of hope. And Margot and her family are about to continue convulsing like this.
Sister Nicole has a mediocre performance in the film. Another neurotic character (I don't like Fur as a digression.). As an audience who is particularly picky about accents, I can hear a lot of the Australian accents of my eldest sister. You can be a little bit more dedicated and improve your pronunciation while contrived.
Finally, you still have to add subtitles to watch such a piece. At least it can be distracted, don't have to plug in headphones and stare at the screen just to understand a bunch of crazy people's tossing.
