Thoughts on the last story of the third season (spoilers, don’t enter)

In this story, if the female reporter hadn't deliberately approached Allison, Allison wouldn't have been able to identify herself immediately when she dreamed of her being killed. . . At the end, she told her her guess about the murderer. If the female reporter did not hear this guess, she would not inadvertently talk about this issue when talking to the real murderer and then be killed.
Seeing this, I suddenly felt sad for allison. If allison hadn’t dreamed that the female reporter was killed, she would not talk to her about related issues, and the female reporter would not talk about the truth with the real murderer, nor would she be killed. It is equivalent to the death of a female reporter caused by allison. Even if a female reporter deliberately approached allison, she is still a rare friend of allison. The screenwriter is too cruel.
In addition, it is obvious that the female reporter only opened the recording when someone came in and started talking. Why did Allison hear a knock on the door when listening to the recording? Is this a loophole?

Joe Dubois: I move my lips, I push out air. There's nothing to it.

  • Joe's Dad: I'll be damned if I know what my son sees in you.

Allison Dubois: It's okay. You already are damned.
