The movie is about love, struggles, addiction, drugs, and PTSD. What desperation drives people to do the extreme things. How a promising young man came down to be a criminal. One step at a time, he lost his way. While being desperate and lost the purpose of life, he has his one true love stand by his side at all time even though they both got into this unhealthy road. The first half of the movie laid out the background with lightened mood while second half is truly epic where it shows how easliy humanity is broken down when facing struggles.

3.5. The story is so complete that it doesn't feel like it's finished. The scale of the movie (or the structure of the play) is too Martin Scorsese, so the last ending made me a little speechless. This is the third position of the story. I don't know if it is Apple's restrictions on the brothers' creation or the director. My own understanding of the story, but handling it quite boringly. The Russo brothers try to make everything look interesting, but unfortunately it just seems that the inner tension is always lacking, especially after the post-war PTSD (maybe it would be better to remove 20 minutes). To be honest, I miss the Russell brothers who were so passionate when they were in "The Crap League".

Although Holland is trying his best to play a mature man with a mouth full of f*ck, his youthful spirit is still a bit obvious, but his acting skills are still passable.

Cherry: It's just something in me has always drawn me away... until there's nothing holding me together.

  • Cousin Joe: Do you want me to punch this guy in the dick?

    Cherry: No, Joe.
