A marriage story

At the very beginning, you will think this film is too noisy, and the two people are talking non-stop, as if watching "Sherlock". But when they continue to talk, you will suddenly find that this film is a bit real.

What made the two people quarrel is so simple that it makes people think whether there is something wrong with the two protagonists. A man can’t figure out why a woman is angry, a woman never really tells her why she is angry, and a man thinks that it’s okay if a woman says it’s okay, and in the end, what happened to him when she got upset because of this. So inexplicable.

This is a very common family conflict. The wife did the housework at home, took care of her husband little by little, and listened to her husband's work. Even if she was angry, she would still take care of her husband. If she had a child, she would take care of the child in this way. But the two people being taken care of never felt that there was anything wrong with this. In the end, the wife could only say "you two white-eyed wolves" when she was angry.

Malcolm is not mature enough. The self-destructive love history attempts to hurt Mary, and seeing the film reviews full of nonsense can be directly hysterical, and the whole person is a bit extreme, by disguising himself and hurting others to make himself look strong. His practice of being strong and doing it is the most common in junior high school, and Malcolm still uses this method as an adult. No wonder Mary is watching a clown show with a sarcastic smile, and the most ridiculous thing is that Malcolm also said that she was before. Laugh like a clown like that. After thinking about it for a long time, I finally figured out how to fight back against Mary. It looked more like an irritation into anger. The reason was not like telling Mary, it was more like to convince myself that Mary was wrong and he was not mediocre at all.

At the end of the movie, Mary said what was in her heart, and she just wanted a thank you. Most people in life don't have it.

Although the two people quarreled for an hour and forty minutes, I still felt that their relationship was not completely destroyed. Malcolm also cried when Mary told it, and it was obvious that they were still in love. At least Malcolm could know that what Mary did was to love him, and Mary also knew that Malcolm loved her too. At the end, the two stood side by side, as if they were going to move forward again.

Since the protagonist of the film is a director, there is no sense of contradiction in the fragments of the spit in the film. The political correctness is flying all over the sky, the critics who cannot understand the film but have a great influence on the future of the film, and the production company who knows what they are thinking, these two people said every word on the idea.

There are only two actors in the film, but Zandaya’s acting skills are fully capable of supporting the play, and John David Washington’s acting is much better than in "Creed", although most of the time it looks like he is stunned. Yes, but this kind of hysterical feeling can also hold the Zandaya play.

Malcolm & Marie quotes

  • [Marie walks into the room with a knife]

Malcolm: Marie, what are you doing? Put the knife down, please. Marie?

[she kneels down in front of him and plays with the knife]

Marie: Do you remember those antidepressants I was on? I'm not on them anymore. I'm not doing well. I'm really, really not doing well. I've never been clean. And I don't plan on getting clean. I'm a piece of shit. I'm a liar. I cheated on you. I fucked your friends

    [she laughs]

Marie: I fucked your friends. God, I feel like I'm crazy. I've stolen from your mother. And you know what the fucked up thing is? I don't even care. I don't mind. Because I deserve it. Tell me where the fucking pills are. Tell me where the pills are.

[Malcolm struggles to answer, Marie puts the knife down and acts like herself again]

Marie: And that, Malcolm, is what authenticity buys you.

[she flips him off with both hands as she leaves the room]

Malcolm: Well, damn! Why didn't you do that in the audition?

  • Marie: You know, life is gonna get easier, but it's also gonna get harder.

    Malcolm: What do you mean?

Marie: Just don't believe the hype, Malcolm. And don't push away the people who ground you.
