I listened to the long-lasting friendship, and wrote my first film review.
The plot that moved me the most in the movie was that after Hardin and Tessa reconcile, they lie down on the sofa in the living room. Tessa is reading a book with glasses. Hardin asks her if she wants to go to the party. The background music is very light, but I listened to it. It is friendship that lasts forever.
It is true that there are many unreasonable things in the film. After watching the first part, I found that the beginning of the second part is not connected at all. At the end of the first part, I feel that they are reconciled. Why is this one still quarreling? Including some hurried and unthinkable handling in the end, but I still think it's good, because the whole idea touched me very much.
The love between these two people looked crazy, tired, reconciled for a while, quarreled for a while, and still lingering after a breakup, and felt awkward when they got together. But if you take a good look at the part about Hardin, you can see what this seemingly distorted love is all about. This film is more like a show of the male protagonist's mental journey, giving him a reasonable explanation for his strange behavior in love.
When I was 8 years old, I actually didn't fully understand that something serious happened to his mother one night. He was awakened in his sleep and happened to see that he believed it was his father's fault. Later, his parents divorced, his mother was alone in the UK, and his father remarried in the United States. He had a brother who was about the same age and not related by blood. Everyone thinks that he is immature, a bad boy, and constantly criticizes and rejects him. They never thought that he had a serious heartache in childhood and never healed. Who has understood his past sincerely and patiently? He was stuck in a nightmare and couldn't wake up for a long time, until he met Tessa.
His mother chose to forgive for no reason, and lived her life in a foreign country and started dating. His father remarried heartlessly, and soon the family was full of photos of the new couple. Every time his anger, loss of control and alcoholism, others will only say that he screwed it up, they will only say that you should let go and understand, but when it happens, it happens. If there is a problem, there is a problem. It is not the positive energy of ignorance, indifference and self-righteousness. It can disappear. When deciding to move on, who took a look at this child who still stayed in place, sad and unable to let go?
Since then, Hardin has an emotional black hole, no one fills it, and he cannot heal himself. He yearns to be loved and loves exclusively, but he always hesitates, doubts and indulges at critical moments because no one has ever cared for him sincerely. How can he be harsh when he is only 20 years old?
Who doesn't want to have a healthy personality, be optimistic and cheerful, love and be loved correctly, be generous and confident? Hardin is actually kind and innocent by nature. Watching him face Tessa's happy or nervous eyes, and plucking up the courage to go back to the action he loves, he deserves to be loved.
Tessa is also worth it, because only she is willing to accept and wait for a child with emotional black hole madness. Although hesitated, she is finally determined.
