First of all, I personally think that horror movies basically don’t look at how the director shoots, what lens they use, or what music they use. I only look at whether the logic of the plot is smooth and reasonable, and whether it can be understood by me.
"Death Snow 2" is a sequel to 1, but the main storyline is 90% reasonable, and the actors' acting skills are also in place. One thing that is unreasonable is that the action of "resurrecting a corpse by hand" is a bit like a science fiction movie.
Simply talk about how the movie looks good from a few actions:
The Nazi zombies cruelly pulled out their intestines: I think it is a true construction of facts. It makes the audience feel incredible, disgusting, and feel that this is impossible for people to do. But whether the German army in World War II did such a disgusting approach I don't know, nor do I want to know.
The portraits of Jesus and the Virgin Mary in the church bleed from the eyes and nose: the two are symbols of "birth". Zombies enter the church to blaspheme "birth", so the portraits will bleed. The massacre of Walzog (the leader of the Nazis) in the church that caused blood to spill on the sculpture of Jesus is a kind of irony of the German Nazis.
The repeated deaths of yellow-haired zombies and the clumsiness of the police captain have a lot of laughter. I even think that "Dead Snow 2" exceeds 1, which is rare in the movies I have watched.
Taking "Resident Evil" as an example, I think that Resident Evil is not as good as one, 1 is the most classic, but the beginning of the story of 6 and the end of 5 are not connected.
Many directors always want to innovate on the first part, but after the innovation, it is not the "classic" that the audience expects. Movies are, so are TV shows.
The final ending is not crazy, I think I am Martin and I will do the same, and I will resurrect my girlfriend. On the contrary, the music at the end is not very contradictory. The madness of the music matches Martin's madness. Only the yellow-haired zombie was left outside the car watching Martin snap.
