Every time I watch a movie with the mentality of writing a film review, I can't help but distract myself. Several key terms are recorded: Amelia Wran, Mr. Glaisher, a hot air balloon named The Mammoth, Spenser’s poem The fate of the Butterflies, and a sentence that touches the heart: "You don't change the world simply by looking at it . You change it through the way you choose to live in it." and the enlightening epilogue "Look up. The sky lies open."
A movie about realizing ideals, putting aside prejudice, sticking to the heart, full of adventurous spirit and courage.
I have to say that the scenery on the hot air balloon with the blue sky as the background is too beautiful.
Some odds and ends:
Amelia Wran-husband Pierre, died in one aeronaute's event. Amelia said to her sister,
Up there is where I have found the greaste happiness.
And my sister said
He was the happiness not the damn balloon.
In Amelia's eyes, her husband Pierre
He saw possibilities others could not, but his most enduring quality was a deep and true love for the beauty of the world.
Mr. Glaisher-a scientist, ask for funding for an expedition in balloon to make a science of weather, is laughed at by the other gentlemen at the Royal Society. Compared with Newton, the possibility that he predicts the weather does not exist.
John Trew-Glaisher's friend
Finally, I attach a few hot air balloon models taken at the Paris Aviation Museum:
