Best partner by sea, land and air, interview with Neptune and Sea Queen (Secretary of the studio:)

Eleonore 2021-10-19 10:18:56

The interview was arranged very early. The first few international reporters who came there were talking softly for breakfast and coffee on the second floor. Suddenly Jason Momoa also came in and happily filled himself with a plate of scrambled eggs. Ha, as long as Jason walks into a space, no matter what everyone is doing at the time, he will immediately become the focus of the audience and drive the atmosphere. The 193cm big man makes a sound like Hong Zhong, can walk through the corridor with a smile and shake hands enthusiastically and be careful not to be pinched. fracture. In recent years, Amber Heard has had too much news on the entertainment version. When I see myself, I will find that my previous assumptions are not very accurate. From the movie, it is the most direct way to get to know her from the role.

A very pleasant two-person interview. Several times I couldn't hold the recorder with laughter. After the chat, I can really realize what Director Wen Ziren said, the interaction between the two of them is simply Haiwang and Meila himself! Whether it is complaining about the special effects costumes together, or Amber rushing to answer for Jason, to sharing the "stealing books" fun facts on the set, every time I sing and reconcile, the laughter is constant, and the tacit understanding is perfect. Is it a good calculation to use the actor's own personality to add color to the role, or is the actor imperceptibly contaminated with the character's style in the performance, or is it a combination of both?

Q-Question "Universal Screen" Los Angeles Special Correspondent Pan Meng

J-Jason Momoa

A-Amber Heard

Q: The look in the movie is very colorful. How long does it take for you to make up your hair every day during filming?

A: At least one and a half hours.

J: Both of us spend a lot of time on styling every day. It takes at least 1.5 hours to draw tattoos and wear wigs on our bodies. It takes 1 hour to remove those tattoos after the shooting. Amber is very dedicated, but I am the drama queen at the scene, haha, as long as I call cut I will take off the costume, but she needs to wear that costume from start to finish.

A: That's because I can't take it off even though I want to take it off! Only when I go to the bathroom, I have to take it off, but I have to be completely naked inside.

Q: But your overall look is very beautiful. Does Mera also have red hair in the comics?

A: Yes, Jason's Aquaman is completely different from the comics. He recreated this character based on his own characteristics. On the contrary, my character is actually very close to the image in the comics, at least in appearance.

Q: What kind of experience did Nicole Kidman play as your mother?

J: Working with her is definitely the highlight moment in my acting career! First of all, she is Nicole Kidman, what a great actor, she has won an Oscar, but she also wore a special costume and in a very cold environment, she was soaked to play with me over and over again. Our director Wen always likes to take a lot of shots, she always knows where to adjust. Nicole is very smart, she brought out my best performances.

Q: Amber, you have many wonderful chasing and fighting scenes in the movie. Are you mainly doing it yourself, or relying on substitutes or computer stunts?

A: All of these are available. The final presentation is definitely the result of everyone's joint efforts. It also includes costume design, scene layout to post-production, etc. We shed blood, sweat and tears together. I was fortunate to have good training, and a great stand-in actor, combined with computer stunts, to make all of these better together.

Q: Jason, when you signed to participate in such a big production, what was the main consideration in your mind?

J: I never thought I would sit here today. I signed a contract with Zach Snyder 6 or 7 years ago, but I didn't expect to have the opportunity to make an independent movie that belongs to Neptune. Because I didn't know what would happen at that time, I appeared in "Batman v Superman" for a few seconds, so I was honored to be able to shoot "Aquaman". And my kids are just at the age when they love to watch this kind of film the most. They are super expecting it.

Q: It has always been said in the movie that Neptune is a bridge connecting the sea and land. At the same time, the movie "Neptune" is also a bridge connecting the old and new eras for the DC universe. Will you be under pressure?

J: I don't have much pressure. I just finish what I should do, and the director will take care of the rest. I thought it was great when I first read the script, and the story is solid. I agree that this movie will act as a bridge. DC attaches great importance to movies. The story itself is very good. The underwater world is also visually unprecedented. If it can act as a bridge in a certain sense, (made a strong man against the two worlds), I I have to do my best to fight this bridge haha!

Q: What is your favorite emotional scene in the movie?

A: The two characters of Aquaman and Mera were disliked by each other from the beginning, and were unwilling to partner with each other. Their personalities were very different. Then they were forced to take risks together. Then you can see them gradually change and influence each other. , Overcome difficulties together. I don't want to spoil it in one of the scenes. The journey they experienced brought them to the culmination of their relationship. I think that scene is my favorite.

J: My role is a very stubborn person who doesn’t know how to compromise, and suddenly the world needs him to do things that are almost impossible, but he can only hand over himself. There is a line at this time in the trailer. At that time, my voice had broken down. What I said was, "I only came for the people and home I love." This was a very moving moment for me, and I wanted to show the sea king. In fact, it is also fragile.

Q: How are you two swimming? Do you like to go in the water?

A: He is a fish, me, I also like the sea, but it's better to just stay on the beach, haha.

J: I grew up in Hawaii and love the ocean very much. But playing in the water wearing these special costumes is really different. I remember a scene where I was standing in the water with full arms. Those guys were too heavy and began to slowly slide down. If a wave of waves rushed over at this time, they would basically be washed away. This scene may have been photographed by the paparazzi. I wanted to pick her up in the water, but the armor made me unable to bend my knees at all! She was also shocked by the waves. I was very hot, and the sun was about to go down at that time. Everyone wanted to finish this shot as soon as possible, so I tore off all the clothes on my body and yelled Lao Tzu not to shoot! So the last scene was not included in the movie.

Q: In addition to shooting in the water, there must be a lot of special effects shooting, can you share it?

J: Yes, because some really shot in the water can't achieve the best results.

A: I need to wear special clothes every day. I have a lot of tracking points. I also need to connect various lines to my body. Most of the shots are in the studio. We are shooting very important scenes and require a lot of emotional investment. It’s really strange that I’m wearing something like this and shooting in a particularly empty space, including my feet being controlled by others. Instead, when we film scenes that take place on land, we need to pour some water on our bodies and shoot them wet.

Q: How does it feel to work with director Wen Ziren?

A: He is like a genius chef with his own unique magic formula. Sometimes, the director can't explain all the details to us clearly before shooting, because the volume of the movie is too big. When you are in a studio and not in a real scene, you have more requirements on your imagination. At this time, you must trust your director very much.

Q: As the character of Aquaman, what do you care most about Jason?

J: Hmm... what you care about the most, (turns head to Amber) Help me with this question?

A: I remember that Jason told me on the set how to find a balance to play a character who is both mortal and extraordinary. When showing superpowers, you must always maintain the human characteristics of the character and be grounded enough.

J: Well said, thank you sisters.

Q: Did you learn anything from your role?

A: I learned some martial arts moves. I have never held a sword before. At least I can hold a sword and make a few gestures.

J: I learned...

A: You, you learned how to steal books!

J: Hahaha this is true. She is a bookworm. She often pulls out a thick book of five or six hundred pages when she is waiting. I feel that she ignores me when she reads the book.

A: When I read a book, someone next to me keeps poking me in the arm, "Hey, what are you reading" and "Where are you talking?" It's so annoying.

J: Once there was a book, she saw the end just a few pages away. I took advantage of her carelessness to tear off the last few pages, and then hid the book.

A: Put me in a hurry. I almost mobilized all the staff on site to look for this book, and finally found it, but found that the last few pages were missing!

J: Didn't I return the last few pages to you...

A: It's time for me to finish! I was holding those pages and thought to myself, I don’t care if the company will open me, I’m going to kill Aquaman!

Q: What kind of book, I'm curious about it.

A: A collection of "A Brief History of Mankind" and "A Brief History of the Future".

J: Look, what a boring book...

A: (Pretending to be angry) Are you stupid! No, Aquaman is not stupid, he is just a straight man.

J: Please call me the man among men!
