At the beginning of the story, the little boy's parents died on the spot in a car accident, and he was the only survivor. When he was just seven years old, he was taken from his grandmother's house and lived in his mother's room when he was a child. At that time, he still didn't understand life and death, nor did he understand the meaning of death, but when he saw the photos of his parents again, he still shed tears.
In fact, he didn't know how to deal with grief at that time, he just wanted to sit still. He couldn't eat, and even the fried chicken that "no one can refuse" that his grandmother was best at gave him no appetite.
He didn't know how to face death.
After all, death is the heaviest and most esoteric topic of mankind. So far, mankind has no unified answer. Because it is so mysterious and vast, some people even founded religions to explain death, some people spend their entire lives studying it, some people are ignorant all their lives, and some people are afraid of it because of the unknown, and they can't even talk about it. Human beings are still like infants in the face of the profound meaning of death, so how can a boy figure out how to face it.
Until grandma used her own wisdom to give the boy an answer.
She first told the boy that his parents had completed the mission of this life and were going to meet new tasks elsewhere. Then she did not express her grief too much, but did her best to devote herself to the life of caring for the boy. She cooks for the boy and takes care of daily life.
She bought a little pet for the boy, taught him to dance cheerfully, and surrounded him with warmth.
She accompanies and leads the boys all the time, and teaches them social norms and survival rules.
She also told the boy the story of the witch. When the boy really met the witch, she went to fight and destroy the witch with him. This is what she teaches boys the sinister world, and supports boys and faces them with them.
With his bravery, the boy and his companions eliminated the witch group and the witch leader, and won the witch's treasure chest. This is the boy who grew up to become a righteous person. He met his companions, and through his efforts to defeat evil and achieve success, he brought wealth to his family.

But unfortunately, the boy became a mouse during the fight against the witch, and no matter how hard everyone tried, he would never change back. This result is irreversible, just like other life tragedies in people's lives.
One day, one afternoon after the calm and the waves, the grandmother was with the boy as always, and she accidentally talked about his grief.
"Grandma, I like to be a mouse." (I accept what I am now.)
"It's good for you to think so." (I love you very much, but I am also proud of you.)
"But do you know some strange things, I still feel like a little boy." (But I still miss the me in the past.)
"You are what you are, baby. Although life is changing, but like me, I am also getting old, but I still feel like a little girl." (You have to believe that your essence has never changed.)
"It's like I think I'm still a little boy!" (It's like I can still feel that I'm still me!...)
"Look, you know everything. Always care about your own heart. When I look at you, what I see is not your beard and pink nose, but your bright and beautiful eyes." (In my eyes Here, you will always be you.)
They also re-discussed the subject that hadn't been discussed for a long time-death.
"Grandma, how long can the mouse live?" (I have a strange hunch that I may not live for too long.)
"Well~ an ordinary mouse can only live about three years, but you are not an ordinary mouse, you are a mouse person, a mouse person can definitely live three times longer than an ordinary mouse! Maybe longer." (Don't Fantastically, the days are still long.)
"This is really good news. I don't like not growing up. When I become a very old mouse and you also become a very old grandmother, we can die together." (Well, first Let's talk about it as the life goes on, thinking about the good things, I can grow up and be with you all the time.)
"That will take a bit of luck, baby. Because no one can be sure how long one can live, this is the law of everything in the world." (Let’s work hard together. Although no one knows what will happen tomorrow, all grandma can do is Live with you every day now.)
This time, their talks were warm, brisk and full of childishness, as if all the sufferings were just a small part of life, and they were long gone. As if in the company of each other, death is no longer a terrible thing.

Suddenly looking back, on this day, the "Witch Elimination Propaganda Lecture" planned by the boy, grandmother and friends was in full swing at a certain station across the country. Grandma did not change much, but the little boy was already an old boy mouse with gray hair and beard.
No one knows what will happen tomorrow, but no one will grieve. When the grandmother asked: Are you ready to carry out the plan? 'Old boy'.
Our old boy was energetic and killed the audience with a smile and replied: Grandma, I am always ready.
No matter how unfair the fate, no matter how much suffering he experienced, the crying little boy has learned from the wisdom of his grandmother to devote all he can to embrace the rest of his life.
This is a very wise movie.
As a fantasy film for children, it hides suffering under the children's kindness and innocence, focuses on the depiction of the magical world of evil witches, and puts the big plot to the end in the victory over the witch.
If you don’t think about the meaning of "the little boy becomes a mouse, but doesn’t change back", if you don’t care about the little information of the ending: the fact that the boy who has become a mouse and is dying will soon die soon, then the story is just a victory. It's just a fairy tale of a witch. However, once people start to think, it opens the door to another time and space in the story.
Inside the gate is the metaphor behind the witty fairy tale, about the two heaviest themes in life: the topic of "death" and "tragedy of life".
Whether it is the male protagonist who lost his parents and unfortunately became a mouse, or Bruno, the fat boy who became a mouse and was abandoned by his parents, or the girl Daisy who ran away from the orphanage and was deceived and turned into a mouse, or lost After the daughter, she has to face her grandmother whose grandson is about to die. In fact, no one's life in the seemingly easy and joyful story is really easy, just like everyone in our real world.
The story begins with the sadness of the boy for the rest of his life, and ends with the boy's smile on his face.
You marvel, perhaps love and company, optimism and persistence are the antidote to all curses.
I hope that all the friends who see this movie can get their own touch and strength. (Thank you for your likes and comments.)
