When David was a child, he was fostered in Micawber’s house. He was an interesting character. Every day, various people came to the house to ask for debts, and he was sent to prison because of the debts. After being released, he pretended to be a professor and went to school to bluff and deceive him for work, and then he was on the streets again. The kind-hearted David has always sympathized with Micawber and defended him by saying that other animals are harmless. When he saw Micawber being exposed and had to leave, he took the initiative to give him even knowing that Micawber wanted to deceive more travel expenses.

I like Micawber probably because of reality. People are very sensitive to real things. I feel that there are many such little people in life, and I have never been like this. I occasionally tell a little lie and cheat a little money, but humans and animals are harmless, and they still don’t forget to laugh at themselves when they are in trouble. When asked if you are living on the street , When we answered, we mainly live outdoors. Such a small person is a bit like the protagonist in the murder of the Coen brothers, the protagonist in the green toe, cool, lazy and indifferent to all situations. Use a simple life to deal with all monsters and ghosts.

It's been a long time since I read a Dickens novel, and the movie almost helps recall the plot, more optimistic and positive. The atmosphere is very different from Oliver Twist. The only trouble is the difference in skin color, although Dev Patel does show the spirituality and enthusiasm that suit the character image. , but people of color have caused confusion in kinship identity and subversion of previous impressions of famous novels, which is as strange as watching Disney's Little Mermaid cast change color, which is acceptable but not expected

Turning a thousand-page novel into a two-hour movie is really scary, especially for viewers like me who haven't read the novel.

The Personal History of David Copperfield quotes

  • Betsey Trotwood: My late brother all over. Calls a house a rookery, takes the rooks on trust. A better name would have been Gullible Manor.

  • Mr Dick: Somebody! Somebody, please! King Charles I. Are we certain that he's dead?

Betsey Trotwood: When last seen in public, his head was *not* attached to his body.

Mr Dick: Good. Thank you. Much obliged.
