The success of "Phenomena" is that it does not stick to the usual horror film models such as zombies, viruses, and mutations. It adopts a mysterious and suspenseful approach, giving people a deep appeal.
But the plot of the story can't be flattered. There are a few things that are obviously deliberately created to exaggerate the atmosphere. For example, when the inspector was locked up by a female murderer, in order to save Jennifer, the inspector smashed his fingers, took off the handcuffs, and then fought with the female murderer. He thought he would kill her, but she didn’t expect that in the end she would actually kill her. He appeared in front of Jennifer with an iron plate! It's incredible and puzzling. From the opening section of the gorilla playing with knives, it can be seen that it was a foreshadowing for letting the gorilla kill the female devil in order to avenge the professor. Unfortunately, this foreshadowing was too unsuccessful and far-fetched.
In general, if Jennifer Connery is not included in this film, it is a thriller that has failed completely.
