Antebellum "Before the Civil War"

There is nothing like seeing a very good movie that makes people feel that the whole weekend has been so meaningful! !

The first thing that attracted me was the long shots that came from the beginning (I don’t know any film art, but after "1917", I began to feel that the original good "lens language" can really give a movie more than the plot. s things). Then there is the composition of the picture, which makes people very intoxicated with the natural scenery and humanistic atmosphere of the Civil War period.

Then comes the plot, because I saw the general plot introduction before, but after watching it for more than 20 minutes, I couldn't match the previous plot. I doubt that I clicked the wrong film. But when the lens is switched, it becomes clear. So, even if you are not interested in the American Civil War, try to see behind.

Flip + traverse + thriller, many elements of commercial films are covered in it, which may be a bit vulgar, but without these, how to create plot conflict? Isn't the most basic element of a good movie to be "the story itself is attractive"? ! So I think it’s a very good movie, but I don’t understand why the barrage is flying all over the sky and it’s not good. Maybe this will make the commenters appear more "deep". As a result of the story, I couldn’t help but comment on one: “If you see this place, you still don’t think it looks good, maybe you are more suitable to watch that kind of electro-optical flint and car chasing stunts”.

I haven't seen a good movie for a long time! ! Sometimes, it's hard to find one that I thought was good at the time, but later I discovered that it was more of a "visual" enjoyment of more than two hours at that time.

There are also comments that this film is superficial. I don't quite understand, how can it be profound? !

Well, each one will come into your own eyes. I really like this kind of story that is as life-like as possible. It will be more attractive if you are farther away from yourself and the plot has more twists and turns. Those movies full of missiles on the screen and explosions in my ears, I still prefer to go to the cinema to watch.

Personally, I feel that watching this film has at least three gains:

1. Quietly experience the life scenes of the slave owners' manor in the South during the American Civil War.

2. As mentioned above, I like the composition of many shots in movies.

3. I was extremely surprised that the heroine can show the beauty of a black woman to the greatest extent through clothing and makeup, especially in the moment of comparison between the front and the back. Use the most vulgar words to describe the mentality that looks at first glance: beautiful inconceivable things! !

If there is any possibility, I DO recommend this fantastic drama and it deserves your some moment to enjoy.

  • Elizabeth: [grabs cellphone belonging to Him and rolls him over to unlock the phone with facial recognition] Open your eyes, motherf**r.

    Little Blonde Girl: Uhh..

[groans in pain from having just been stabbed a few seconds ago by Veronica]

    Elizabeth: I said open...

    [punches Him]

    Elizabeth: your motherf**ng eyes!

  • Kennedi: [seeing news program about racism] Mommy, why was that man so angry.

Veronica: That's a really good question, baby. Sometimes what looks like anger is really just fear. Things are not always what they appear to be, baby. Does that make sense?

    Kennedi: [no]
