A hundred years of illness alone on stage

I haven't watched a South American movie for a long time. The Brazilian "Baclaw" screened at the Cannes Film Festival last year allowed the audience to experience the unique charm of South America.

The film tells the story of the death of Kametita, the matriarch of Baklaw Village, at the age of 94 in the near future. The whole village is immersed in grief. At the beginning, the granddaughter Teresa returned long distance in a water truck, and the silence of this remote village in Brazil's hot weather was dotted with bright colors. The ancient funeral ceremony began, the coffin was played, the guitar sounded, and the crowd bid farewell. There was no crying, but the peace of life and death was full.

The leisurely and peaceful life here always has the shadow of "One Hundred Years of Solitude", with primitive enthusiasm and calm and naked intercourse, the years seem to stop.

A few days later, the villagers discovered that the village had disappeared from the map. Then there were more and more unknown things, and the peaceful rural life was destroyed. The old villagers who had returned found a drone similar to a flying saucer, and a truck returning with water was shot by a bullet. The water leaked, and the network started to lose signal. A pair of riders from Rio who rode through the village on their motorcycles, and even villagers who lived or went out alone were shot to death...

It turned out that a group of Americans organized a hunting game. In their camp, drones monitored the hunting situation in real time and scored according to the results. Ordinary Americans who are well-armed have found the dual advantage of race and strength in the killing, and they look upon the villagers as inferior ants.

But I didn't expect the villagers to get together soon and decided to join forces to fight back. They hide in the dark underground, waiting for the hunters to take the bait. At this time, the plot reverses. It turns out that this group of villagers once armed and fought in history, and now it is a new reincarnation of resistance.

The reincarnation after the hunt corresponds to the echoes of the coffin at the beginning.
