A glimpse of South American culture

A very peculiar movie, the overall plot is similar to "Hunting", but it has more cultural perspectives than the latter. In order to highlight this point, the film does not hesitate to lengthen the story. The first half is almost mistaken for an ethical film, and it turns a few times later.

No matter in reality or in film and television works, South America does not seem to have much presence. In my personal impression, South Americans have neither the Anglo-American wisdom derived from Puritanism nor the Chinese restraint based on the world. Instead, they live instinctively. They are also scattered on the social level and belong to the lagging behind in the global era. The film is almost displayed like this. Staggering degree of sexual openness, men and women share bathing, naked, prostitution, and promiscuity. He is accustomed to violence and even worships assassins. There is no hope in politics, politicians and bullies, and officials and people have no trust. The standard of living is extremely uncoordinated. With a well-developed Internet, food, clothing, housing, and transportation are like food and clothing.

The opposite is a completely different American culture. The goal is clear, the division of labor is clear, the organization is orderly, and the efficiency is paramount. The degree of material modernization is consistent with the spirit, with various advanced weapons, communication equipment and drones. Before understanding its intentions, the American team felt like it was performing national missions on behalf of the government.

However, modern Americans have extremely barbaric goals. In the face of existential threats, South Americans’ sloppyness has turned into courage and combat effectiveness, and collective organization and efficiency have soared. This is probably the magic of this kind of culture, forcing those who despise it to have to re-recognize it.
