Dell's grandfather in the nursing home always has large and small bruises and lumps. Dell suspects that his grandfather and his friends who live in the elderly's home have been abused, but the two elderly people firmly refused to admit it. Dell and Sam found out after investigating that the old people in the old man's home gave the staff five dollars an hour to let them not be nosy and play boxing matches in the basement. The old people on and off the stage were very excited. Everyday good friends would curse each other in the boxing ring and hurt each other regardless of the consequences. The quiet old grannies frantically waved the banknotes in their hands and shouted for cheer.
These old people have children and relatives, and most of them have died of spouses. It is not convenient to live alone, but they also have a worry-free life in the home of the elderly.
But their loneliness is even more empty.
I can see the retirement life of the elderly around us, just doing the daily things that are necessary every day.
Everyone thinks that their time is over, and they should live quietly until the end of their lives.
I hope all those who laugh at the old people's sometimes clumsy efforts can imagine their old age.
At least, I don't know why I particularly understand such feelings. Unwilling to waste time, want to find the meaning of life.
No one should live a pitiful life.
Dell’s grandpa said: "You wanna know why we fight. I'll tell you. Once a day you wake up thinking today something happen besides this death march. Our life, they change. Fair enough. We're old. But they don't have to be over. It felt good to fight. "
Life has more meaning than going to death step by step.
Life is not just for young people, no one should stop or give up.
