After watching this documentary, start a vegetarian trial journey

It should be the top2 I watched in 2020 (I haven't figured out how to share top1 with you yet, and I will write it again when I have the inspiration to write a copy). It is really powerful, and it really breaks some of my inherent impressions. I can only say that it was taken so well, it didn't make me bored at all, it felt like I discovered a new world.

Found this treasure

Recently I always wonder how I discovered some good things (forgive me, I can only call them things collectively), because I think the most valuable thing in the 21st century is news, and I find a series of very long reactions The chain is really amazing. This is the case. In the morning, I watched Create Camp 2020, and then was a fan of the song "Like You". I went to the NetEase cloud and found that the original singer was Singaporean singer Kitty Chen. Then I started to read reviews and found that Leehom Wang had a crush on Kit Chan before, and also sang "Like You" at the concert. I started gossiping and started looking for Leehom Wang's concert in Singapore in 2006 (but I didn't find it) on YouTube, and then searched When I got to Wang Leehom’s wife, I started to watch her Weibo (see how she cooks and raise her baby). ps: The toys her baby played with when she was very young were robots programmed by herself. She was really a celebrity and never let her baby. Lose at the starting line. But Leehom Wang is too perfect! ! ! National husband! Then she recommended this documentary on Weibo, and she was interested in vegetarian food, so I watched it very efficiently and immediately!

Do you also think that my fate with it is very wonderful! Hahaha

Its producer

Its producer is James Cameron, director of "Avatar" and "Titanic", and he also invested in a plant protein company. If you don’t really believe in vegetarian food, you would invest in such a company.

Its content

I really like the way this documentary is presented. I will explain to you a little bit from mechanism to human evolution, so that you have no reason to refute it. My favorite point of view is from color. The human world can see multicolored colors, while carnivores (I forgot whether they are all) can actually only see two colors. The reason is that people can judge fresh plants and mature fruits by color, and carnivores only need to see whether the prey is alive or not to know if they are fresh. The deep impression is also analyzed from the angle of the teeth and the length of the small intestine.

In fact, my biggest worry before seeing is whether being a vegetarian will lack some essential things for the body, such as protein and b12. But my questions are answered in the film.

In fact, Chinese food is much better than foreign food. We don't always eat steak or just meat. We usually cook with meat and vegetables. When I arrived in Singapore, I did find that there were relatively few green vegetables. If there is only meat in a meal, I might not pay attention to the collocation (Hainan chicken rice). . .

Know the reason and move the emotion (environmental protection). Anyway, I was convinced.

In fact, this documentary also gave me a thought. In fact, whether it is an expert (some experts can't believe what they say) or the public, some interests or considerations will really mislead us. For example, more than a decade ago, some experts claimed that smoking had no connection with cancer. A few days ago, herd immunity in the United Kingdom and the United States did not need to wear masks. Even some tedx speeches claimed that there is no need to wear a mask (I actually believed it at the time, and almost convinced my mother who kept letting me wear a mask). Now I was too careless and naive when I wanted to come. I didn't believe my country's advice and went to listen to the speeches of small experts in the United States. You should still go to see experts who are really reliable. But who can really ensure who is reliable? Maybe what we can do is to understand the field we want to know as comprehensively as possible, to see the analysis and experiments of those experts before drawing conclusions, and use our smart little brains to distinguish. Can't be the silly and cannon fodder who only looks at the professor's title and conclusion.

about me

I never thought I would try a vegetarian diet before, but I don’t like meat and I clamored for McDonald’s every week. But it can also be related to my staying in Singapore for a while. Due to religious reasons, some people in Singapore are vegetarian. Whether in the cafeteria or in the box lunch, there will be a special window. My Indian English tutor is a vegetarian. There are such people, so I gradually understand the existence of such a group of quite many people (there is really no special window in China).

One of my little attempts is my next 30-day challenge hh, to be vegan for 30 days (except for the 2 eggs I bought before, and 500ml of milk), without any meat, eggs, or milk. Drink soy milk if you drink milk.

After 30 days, meat may be eaten once a week in the future. This is just the plan ahead hh.

From now on, I have a plant-based diet.

I really recommend everyone to watch it, more or less, it will change some of your thoughts.

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger: Say hey, why don't you try, once a week, just chill it with the meat.

  • Patrik Baboumian: It's not about being the strongest and the biggest. It's really about 'what are you going to do with your strength?' and 'what are you going to do with the power that you have?'
