A turning point in life

Writing a short review of "The Second Spring of Life" today, I suddenly thought of this "Rookie Old Policeman". Nolan, like Carol, is a middle-aged person. He has made a completely different choice in his life. A completely different track in life in the past.

The series is adapted from a real story, which is very inspirational. Nolan was middle-aged, divorced, and his son went to college. He seemed to lack goals in life, so he left his hometown and came to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of being a policeman and start a new career as an elderly rookie. In this process, Nolan has to adapt to the pressure and challenges of the new job, but also accept the police officers' ridicule about him because of the age difference, and even the supervisor's doubts and dissatisfaction with his choice of being a police officer. He used his wisdom in life to overcome difficulties, helped his colleagues, and gradually grew into a qualified policeman.

The whole series is well-produced, with a lot of live shooting, the story is tightly paced, and the logic is complete. An episode can often contain several cases. Sensational and tenderness coexist, serious and humorous. The biggest surprise is probably the starring role. After all, I am a loyal audience of "The Book of Spiritual Detectives" and I have finished chasing all the episodes.
