Afterthought

Children whose parents are divorced are not good. They live back and forth between the parents, and when the other party does not come to pick up the children at the agreed time, they feel irritable, rather than happy because they can spend more time with the children. They each have their own arrangements, so the child becomes a burden and so sad. Her parents didn't really care about her, they were just fighting for the right to raise her. It was her "stepfather" and "stepmother" who really accompany Mech. Her parents are not good in morals, they are all taking advantage of others, and her mother's temperament is relatively weird, and those who engage in art are relatively weird. But her parents really did not fulfill their duties as parents.

The little girl is very innocent, cute, and well-behaved. She doesn’t cry and make a lot of noise when she is constantly facing different strangers. She just woke up from a strange bed that night when she went to the hotel and couldn’t find Lincoln. When I came, I couldn't find anyone I knew, and I had to spend the night here, leaving tears on the bed, which made people really feel distressed.

Later, I went to the beach and the house was very nice. You could see the sea view from the window, and the surroundings were so comfortable. Mitch has been thinking about his father's promise to go on the boat, so he is very happy and excited to know that he can go on the boat tomorrow. The night before, her mother took her on a tour bus to take her away, but she did not go with her mother. What maisie knew, maybe she knew who was really good to her and who should be with her. Looking at their family of three (Mecchi, her stepfather and stepmother), they didn't feel nauseous, but warm. At the end of the film, the background music sounded, and the family walked to the dock, with Mekie running at the front, very excited.

What Maisie Knew quotes

  • Margo: I'm sorry I got mad at him. He must think I'm awful.

Maisie: Mommy gets mad at him all the time.

  • Lincoln: I was bitten by a turtle once.

    Margo: Were you really?

Lincoln: Yeah... yeah. It even left a scar if you...

    Margo: Rea... really?

Lincoln: [shows Margo his bitten finger] It could've left a scar.

    [Margo laughs]

Lincoln: It's that bad. It could've left a scar.

Margo: Right, yeah. So, is it quite traumatic for you being back here with the turtles?

Lincoln: [interrupting] It was. This is kinda like therapy for me.

    Margo: Oh! It is? Okay.

    Lincoln: Meeting the beast again.

    [Margo laughs]
