(After watching episode 10)
Comrades, after watching the last episode of the first season, my heart is as good as the question.

Liane is a girl from a rural area in Wisconsin. She was found dead in a fire. This fire was caused by a riot created by the cult organization represented by Aunt Mei. They issued some kind of "oracles" to enlist Lien under their command. But Lien met Dorothy in a beauty contest a year ago and was full of longing for her. So later on secretly found her, and knew about her bereavement, used witchcraft to create a living baby. (Perhaps it was casting a spell on that baby doll) And Sean lost his sense of taste and was stabbed every day.
But in the process of getting along, Lianne discovered Dorothy's many shortcomings. Lianne compliments and pleases the people he likes, and will retaliate hard against the people who hate him. So every time she is used or disappointed by Dorothy Sean and Zhu An, she will quickly clean up them.
During the month she stayed at Dorothy’s house, she knew through various signs (crickets, cellar cracks, stray dog attacks) that Dorothy had caused the death of the baby. So she thought Dorothy was guilty and punished her again.
Later, the cult uncle and aunt found her and insisted on letting her leave. Maybe Lianne found that Dorothy’s character and the truth about the loss of the child disappointed her. Perhaps she has learned through this experience that the destiny is hard to defy, and that after having a child, she did not let the two of them cherish their current lives enough. So in the end, they left them, the spell disappeared, and the live baby returned to the puppet state. Maybe there are still some clues to be completed in the second season.
But in general, there are a lot of bugs in this show in my opinion.
Originally watching this play, what I found interesting was the atmosphere it created and the shaping of the characters. The couple Dorothy and Sean are mocking the selfish, indifferent and hypocritical middle class. Dorothy's personality at the beginning was that she liked to use others and only cared about her own fame and fortune in her career. Sean is extremely mean, his so-called molecular cooking is simply destroying creatures in disguise. They live in a big mansion given by their parents, and they laugh at everything. The same goes for Julian. The first eight episodes are in preparation, and the death of the baby is strange and terrifying. After Lean knew the truth, her eyes were full of anger when she looked at Dorothy. All the preparations made people guess what a terrible demon Dorothy was.
Unexpectedly, in the ninth episode, Dorothy's personality suddenly changed. She worked very hard to raise the baby on her own. This image has been the same as the previous one, throwing the baby to others at every turn, and crying more fiercely when approaching the baby, or to make the child masturbate (or sex). Dorothy, the nanny who went all the way through the rain to buy cakes, was not like a person at all. What's the point of such a person setting?
Dorothy's trance caused the child to suffocate to death, and because of a mental breakdown, he spent a few days with the rotting baby corpse. Seeing this scene caused her brother Julian's impotence and loss of appetite? Caused the heavens and the earth to break up at home, as if to be condemned by the heavens? I didn't understand it anyway. And Lianne really did those pranks to punish her for her mistakes?
In terms of the truth provided in the first season, I think Lean is quite unkind. I don't think the sins of the Dorothys will cause her to make this last move: as soon as she left, she left behind Dorothy who might return to madness and Sean who was about to cook her own hands.
Before, I made a lot of speculation about the plot, and some friends said that I over-interpreted it, but I think this is such a suspenseful thriller that uses image narrative to provide fun. But digging holes without filling them is another matter. It stands to reason that the same concept of witchcraft can be used to tell a complete story in one season. I keep hiding the suspense until the second season and then come to squeeze toothpaste. It's really boring. The fun of puzzle solving in my heart has long since dragged on.

For the first time, episode 9 uses Dorothy’s perspective to show how she caused the baby to die and collapse. (It can also be called a science and education film about widowhood parenting)
The ham on the table turned out to be a way to reverse the state of the baby after the death of the meat.
After watching this episode, it was actually more sympathy for Dorothy. But why is Lien still so harsh on her? And deliberately punish? If it was just because of Dorothy's trance that the baby was trapped in the hot car and suffocated to death, then this series of punishments by Lien would appear to be a bitch. The rogue screenwriter and director left the line of how to deal with corpses until the last episode.
If the truth is not as bloody as I guessed, then these details will make people wonder. And the horror effect of eating a baby is indeed more terrifying, and it is enough to match the atmosphere that everyone has been guilty of that this drama has always created. Anyway.. Wait for the finale.

So far, watching the full play has confirmed that my guess is wrong, but I keep it as a brain-opening record. When I saw the eighth episode, I didn't know what the ham that was delivered was. Of course I already knew the ninth episode. So I simply deleted that guess. Friends who want to look down, I reminded me again that this is a speculation after watching the first eight episodes. This TV series is really magical, the first time I watch it makes people crazy, I want to watch it again immediately. I sorted out the details when I watched it the third time.
I think it is very likely that Dorothy cooked her baby, and the insider ate the baby in order to destroy the body. Many details point to this possibility.
Now let's take a look at it bit by bit with everyone. First of all, we all know that Dorothy often falls into a trance. At first it was sitting in the car or in the bedroom. Later, some clues were gradually revealed to everyone. First of all, when looking at the scar on our body in the bathroom, we can imagine that the scar should be related to the dead baby.
Another trance that prompted clues was the moment she opened the refrigerator and saw the cake. The cream on the red bottom suggests some kind of blood and the possibility of eating. This is the first time I thought about it, maybe the death of a baby is related to eating.
In the episode of Sean's cricket cooking, Lean found the clothes of a dead baby in the cellar. After she washed her clothes, she was scolded by Sean. It was obvious that Sean was irritated by the clothes. We speculated that it was only possible that Dorothy took off the baby clothes and left them there.
In that episode, the crickets jumped out of the box and kept pouring into the place where Lean appeared. We know that Lianne is a witch, and there should be some kind of strange feeling between her and the animals. So the crickets in the cellar were reminding Lean that something very ominous had happened in the cellar.
Later, my uncle came and gave Dorothy a terrible chef doll. Dorothy said that because Sean is a chef, it is easy to mislead the audience. Uncle hung the chef doll above the crib. Hint again, the terrible chef made the dishes with babies.
It is worth mentioning that before leaving, my uncle said that this family has no respect for God. It implies that something against human relations is happening at home.
The episode in which Natalie appeared clearly pointed out to us that the death of a baby was not so simple. A terrible thing happened at that time, and Dorothy's brother witnessed it with his own eyes, leaving him with an eternal shadow. This shadow made him lose his sex drive and appetite. It is very likely that the insider ate the baby food in order to destroy the body.

There is a very important detail at the end of this episode. Lean watched a black man speaking on TV. This "earth opens its mouth" seems to coincide with the plot of the cellar crack. And the animal in this episode, the dog that ran out of the nursery, was killed by Dorothy's brother. In the eighth episode, what Shaun did to reverse crystal spheroidization seemed to imply an anti-incubation process. Next was the pearl necklace Dorothy was wearing. The pearl was conceived by the mussel with pain, but this scene implies a certain anti-fertility psychology of Dorothy. As for Dorothy's motivation for doing this. In fact, after watching so many episodes, we can find that she is a person with obvious intermittent schizophrenia. I usually wear a social mask, almost autistic, can't feel the emotions of people around me, only care about myself, and like to use others. Secondly, she miscarried repeatedly at first, saying that it was because the immune system was too strong and attacked anything alien. This is actually a metaphor for her personality.
After having a baby, the mother will go through an adjustment period. What's more, she is such an extremely self-conscious person, and the arrival of her child has brought her a lot of pain. Such as scars, such as mastitis. She is someone who can't sacrifice for anyone.
