Walking in the clouds, like many other films adapted from literary works, there are too many things to express and too many characters involved. It is inevitable that the film will feel like:
1. Part of the plot has been developed in a hurry, the most obvious example is, After the actor sang the serenades in front of the heroine’s window, he left Yunxiang with his luggage. However, he unexpectedly appeared at the celebration the next day;
2. The character depiction was not full enough, and the second half of the heroine did not have many scenes. I couldn't make me feel that she was "kind, strong, perfect, special, and deserves all the love from the whole world". It felt like her words were untruthful. And for the role of the heroine’s younger brother, I want to ask, do all the characters in the book have to be criticized to be worthy of readers and audiences?
Under consideration, the film actually has a fatal wound: the story itself is not credible. The heroine knows that the truth is still to be revealed in the end, why did she even make up this lie, is it really "afraid of being killed by my father"? This reason is ridiculous! Dad won't kill you after the truth is revealed? Also, the part of stepping on grapes made me feel sick, and I will not drink wine in the future:)
Walking in the clouds, I hoped for a good film, because the name is so beautiful, I actually picked so many thorns in the end. In fact, I was explaining to myself why IMDB only gave this film a score of 6.1.
