My interpretation of the ending of "Wish Room"

At the end of the movie "Wish Room", the female protagonist's pregnancy test stick and her mysterious expression appeared on the screen, and then the film stopped abruptly in the flashing lights. At first glance, this ending is a bit confusing, but after some thinking, I seem to understand the connection.

First of all, the child conceived by the female protagonist is not of the male protagonist. At 25 minutes of the film, the male protagonist made a crib and wanted to try to raise a baby again with the female protagonist, but the female protagonist left a deep shadow because of the previous failure (according to the hint of the film, it seems to be a tragic experience of stillbirth). Resolutely refused, it can be inferred from this that the hero and heroine have been taking contraceptive measures, and it is unlikely that the heroine will become pregnant. In addition, the film also hinted that after the "virtual person" became the male protagonist, although the heroine was found out, he still forcibly had a relationship with the female protagonist. Therefore, I think the female protagonist is pregnant with a "virtual person" baby.

Then we can conclude that the heroes and heroines still live in the "virtual world". According to the previous assumptions, the baby that the heroine conceived was not obtained by making a wish, and would not last forever because of the death of one of the creators, the "virtual person". And the things (including organisms and people) made by wishing in the wish room cannot leave the house. If they have escaped, then the sperm or fertilized eggs of the "virtual human" should have disappeared as early as a month ago. Up. The most reasonable explanation for the current female protagonist's positive pregnancy test is that the hero and heroine did not escape the "virtual world" created by the wish room. In other words, in the process of escaping the hero and heroine, the "virtual person" made a wish and set up a forged big iron gate on their way home, deceiving the hero and heroine. Later, the "virtual person" created the illusion that he was turned into ashes in the "virtual world" (when the hero and heroine were escaping, in order to prevent the "virtual person" from chasing, they "changed" a pair of "stand-ins" to block the door of the room. , This plot seems to remind us that what is turned into ashes is just a "stand-in" for the "virtual person"), making the hero and heroine think that everything is over. In this way, the "virtual person" can survive safely and live in a world as exciting as outside, without killing the heroes and heroines, and without being trapped in the house forever.

Regarding the idea that the iron door was a forgery, I once had doubts, because the door they fled from had a hole in the wall beside it, and the "virtual person" had no idea that the male protagonist had chiseled beside the iron door. A hole came out. If this door was made by a "virtual person," he might not be able to make the same hole. But I quickly figured out this doubt. The "virtual person" does not need to know the existence of the hole. He only needs to use the keyword "exactly" when making a wish. (For example, "virtual person" can say : Give me one in ×× which is exactly the same as ××). If the above conclusions are true, the hero and heroine may never escape the room of wish because they can't find an exit. The author may want to warn the world with this: Temporary greed may lead to eternal loss.

There may be different opinions that the hero and heroine have actually escaped the wish room. The end of the film is just to express that the heroine has a strong fear and resistance to the baby due to previous failures and this experience, or that the heroine is not sure about the child I don’t think this interpretation is too ideal. The flashing lights at the end of the film seem to be telling us that it is the author's intention that they are still living in the "virtual world". In addition, the ending of the film seems to pave the way for the shooting of the sequel. The sequel can tell the story of the hero and heroine who finds that they are trapped in the "virtual world" and fights with the "virtual people" to find an exit.
