Helen Miller VS. Father Ian, the acting skills of two old actors collide.
The plot development is very compact. The two met on an online dating platform for the elderly. Betty played by Miller is a professor of history at Oxford, and Roy played by Mr. Ian is a liar. The old man Ian cheated money outside and committed violent murder. After learning about Betty's wealth, he wanted to cheat money.
Ian's mask changed quickly. For a while, he was a gentle and considerate lonely old man, and for a while he was a ruthless and merciless acquaintance of murder. As soon as the hat was put on, his blue eyes suddenly changed. Well deserved the name of a big liar.
As an audience, it's anxious. Although Betty's grandson has always distrusted Roy for fear that Betty will be deceived, Betty still believes in Roy even after learning of Roy's false identity. And Roy also hesitated whether he really wanted to start.
Seeing this, I thought it was a story of a prodigal son turning back. kindness. I thought it was. What happened in the end, there is no spoiler.
Needless to say the acting skills of the two old actors. Several actors who performed stories from their youth in their memories were too handsome, especially the children who performed the 1-year-old Roy, whose gloomy temperament was terrifying.
I could have scored five stars, but after watching "The Irishman", I felt that the power was not enough.
