The generals from the three countries said "Merry Christmas" to each other in their own words, with some unnaturalness, and then toasted to celebrate Christmas, celebrating just one day of peace. These tall soldiers, because of the common festival and the Scots bagpipes, spent a day away from the war. But on this day, they became friends with each other, drinking and playing cards and football together, and then the war continued. Taking refuge in each other's trenches, the shells have only become a symbol of war.
Perhaps only those in the center of artillery hope for peace so much, and war has always been the game of those who initiate war. As the French general said: I think the Germans are much more cordial than the people commanding there. They yelled "Kill the Germans" while eating turkey.
In the end, the three "collaborating with the enemy and treason" armies were transferred separately and continued to carry out this meaningless fight.
Peace only appeared for a moment.
