It is inseparable from love, sensuality, struggle, and death.
"Dellamorte Dellamore" is the same.
However, the Italian director Michele Soavi appeared on the stage in a way that was absurd, bizarre, romantic, disgusting or bloody.
This film is defined as Horror, Horror Comedy, horror comedy.
But the dead inside are really cute and look fierce, in fact, as long as the cemetery administrator Di Lamo covers his eyes, raises his gun, and pulls the trigger.
The administrator has control over the life and death of the dead in the cemetery and the living in the small town.
There are too many black farce in the play for you to taste, any character, an expression,
an action, a dialogue, there is the possibility of extension.
The most mentioned is naturally the relationship between love and death.
But here, I see more questions about power.
Does the administrator have the power to judge and end someone's life?
When the administrator drank at night and drove to the town to kill all the gangsters who said he was incompetent, he just said lightly: Sometimes, my work progress will be a little bit ahead. This sounds a bit specious and black humor, but it implies that the administrator has developed a desire for the power to control life and death. What's darker is that there are always some inexplicable explanations that make the inspector think that the administrator is not the murderer, and even a murder was reported in the hospital. When the inspector met him on the stairs, the inspector asked: Did you bring a gun? The manager took out the gun, and the detective nodded: Great, there is a murderer in the hospital, so be careful. All the ridiculous plots seem to show that the administrator really controls the power to decide whether to live or die, and has become an extraordinary character.
Is it really a great character?
The manager called his only friend while drinking: Friend, sometimes I think, you may not exist at all, and the outside world does not exist. Everything is just what I imagined.
Nothing else.
The administrator admitted that he had only read two books in his life: one was not finished, and the other was a phone book.
If this meant that he had once read the phone book, perhaps, all the world outside the cemetery in the play was entirely his imagination. There was a famous but boring question mentioned: If you are forced to stay on a desert island, what book should one bring with you? One famous novelist’s answer is a phone book—because I can use each of the names above to make up stories, the novelist replied: In this way, it won’t be boring at all.
However, just staying in your own world for a lifetime is not a good phenomenon.
Finally, when the administrator Di Ramo led the big fat Nagy out of the seemingly boundless darkness to find another space for them,
I thought, okay, this is the end of it, and they will find their own world.
But but.
Director Michele Soavi was too much, too much.
What did they see?
This is a movie full of possibilities.
