[Movie] Code 46 (Code 46, 2003)

I thought it was a movie version of the game "Code 47" before. The game itself is a role-playing game with a killer completing various tasks. The movie "Code 46" tells a love story in the future. The gene pool on the earth lacks diversity. Before giving birth to the next generation, "close relatives" must be checked. Otherwise, Code 46 will be violated. I have watched this movie before, but I have watched it again recently, roughly once. However, there are a few interesting points:

* The location of the filming was in Shanghai. From some special perspectives, Shanghai is very futuristic and does not require special location layout.
* The language used in the film is a lingua franca, and English should be the main language to take care of the audience. The mixed language of Chinese (Nihao), French (pourquoi), Italian (si, grazie), Spanish, etc. should actually be a good idea for the language of the future. There are constant real life examples, such as Ciao in Italian, which has always appeared in the German population; for example, the current penetration of English into other languages, the historical penetration of French into English, and so on.
* The male protagonist (played by Tim Robbins) went to the female protagonist’s apartment for the first time and read a book, saying that this book has not been read for a long time, and then read a few sentences, guessing it is the "Bible" from English.

These things are not the key plot of the movie, but they should be deliberately arranged by the director. They have been discovered before, but they were discarded in the corner of memory without records at the time. The movie's vision for the future, although there are not too many sets and scenes, it gives a reasonable image in the details, especially on the cultural level, such as language and beliefs. In contrast, Kubrick's 2001: A Space Tour (1968) became a sci-fi classic (in fact, this movie is slow in pace and easy to hypnotize) because of the director's vision of the future.
