Positions and issues

As a post-80s generation, if someone told me when I was young, a foreign-funded enterprise ignored production safety, the workers were not protected and the wages were very low, and the workers decided to set up a trade union. But it was resisted by foreign capital. The working class was divided and disintegrated, and finally trade unions were not established. Workers have to continue to work at the risk of injury in exchange for negligible rewards.

Then I asked me: Is this an example of the exploitation of working people by the foreign bourgeoisie?

Well, who would have thought that after 30 years, the world will be so magical. Thirty years later, I became a manufacturing practitioner working in a foreign-funded company. I went to watch a story about a Chinese manufacturing company in the United States, and I felt a lot of emotion.

Of course I don’t want to talk about the cliché that the ass decides the head. We oppose capitalism precisely because capitalism is imhuman, which applies not only to Chinese or Americans, but also to workers or capitalists.

At the end of the documentary, Mr. Cao said: (Because the environment has been destroyed and the rural style of my childhood has disappeared) I don’t know if I am a meritorious person or a guilty person? Then he worshipped Buddha religiously.

As soon as the camera turned, he was already inspecting the progress of the automation. He was very happy when he heard that machines could cut jobs.

This is of course because he is a qualified or even outstanding entrepreneur. Everything is operating faithfully in accordance with the will of capital. Even Mr. Cao must obey the will of capital.

Under this logic, we certainly cannot blame American workers for laziness or praise Chinese workers for their hard work. If we must talk about group differences, what I have noticed is another problem. In the United States, any worker, regardless of education level, can clearly express his ideas and demands. But the expressions of Chinese workers are often ambiguous. We talked about the so-called organizational discipline before, but now it seems to be dialectical and unified. American workers seem to be organized and undisciplined; while Chinese workers are disciplined and unorganized. Organizations come from a full understanding of their own environment, can clearly express their own demands, and can actively unite with others to reach consensus. From this point of view, the alienation of capitalism seems to be even worse in China.

Of course, it is the government that can restrain capital. Of course, all kinds of non-governmental organizations can take the initiative to improve the people's organizational ability. In this sense, American consulting companies and China's big government cannot help but complement each other.

So don’t complain or be grateful for why we have such a government.
