"Still in the Mirror" tells the relationship between a mentally ill daughter and her husband, father, younger brother, and God. The story mainly takes place in an isolated hut on a small island. For this woman, she has been waiting for the reception of God (this is regarded as a kind of mental illness). God has not only become her spiritual sustenance and pursuit, but also can give her physical satisfaction (of course, this is also regarded as a mental illness). As a characteristic of some kind of schizophrenia). At the end of the movie, God appeared to the woman as a spider, which eventually led to a complete breakdown of her spirit. In addition, the father is not particularly concerned about his daughter’s illness. He carefully records the development of the illness for his own writing needs. The daughter’s mental disorder and his wife’s suicide seem to be a reincarnation of life, a kind of indifference to him. The cynicism is greatly criticized. Her husband only wants to treat his wife according to his own wishes. He is a typical representative of human superstition and science, so it is impossible for the husband and wife to have any basis of belief in communication. In the whole story, the most characteristic character is also the part of his younger brother. He is at the age of youth and has an ambiguous need for his mysterious and beautiful sister. However, due to moral and psychological reasons, he is also concerned about this. Impulsive women have a hostile attitude, insulting each other (the sister saw him stealing pictures of women in the Latin text), and they were attracted to each other (the sister told him about their pain in her attic). At the end of the movie, after the sister was taken away by the helicopter, the younger brother also left a deep psychological shadow, and the real life he had constructed was also disintegrated. At the end of the movie, there is a dialogue between father and son. The father tries to circumvent the problem of God and instills love as a kind of faith in his son who has lost his faith. The last line of dialogue "Father talked to me" can also be seen as a hope and dawn-like relaxation in the whole movie full of depression, struggle, and despair.
