This film does not seem to have a clear theme, but there seem to be many themes, money, love, friendship, dignity, vanity, impulse, deception, health, compassion, our lives are a kaleidoscope.
If the baron cruelly took away the drunkard’s wallet, he would not die. The next day he flew with the ballerina, but the fate of everyone else changed. The good thing about the plot is that the audience can choose which side they are on, and either side can pick out the other side's drawbacks. There is no right or wrong in life.
