"Escape", I went to the cinema in the next town with my friends last Friday; it was almost full at ten o'clock in the evening. The cinema in this small town has its own personality. It often hosts various independent film festivals and shows documentaries that reflect social and political issues. I participated once last summer and watched two films: one was a story about a young single dad who bought pajamas for his daughter, but her daughter was severely allergic. He found that most of the children's clothing on the market did not indicate the ingredients of the clothing, and many inquiries were prevaricated by trade secrets. At the end, he still didn't find out, but his daughter already knew how to call a congressman to make a complaint. The other is about the harmful ingredients in various detergents and fragrances used in the home. In the film, a competent expert was invited to clean up the cabinets, throw away all the products containing harmful ingredients, and only the empty cabinets were left. In all fairness, the quality of the two films is not very good, but the topic is irritating. People in the nearby communities gather to have a look. They can connect feelings and discuss community affairs. It can be regarded as a square rally speaker. Good: Civil society also starts with short and common things in the parents. There is also a nasty museum on the negative first floor of the cinema, called "The Ugliest Art in the World (too ugly to be ignored)". In a small room, there are a number of modern postmodern surrealist paintings. They are all ugly. Whether it is the ugliest or not, the people who are going to visit will judge. The museum is free and not profitable. I thought about why such a museum should be maintained.
Let’s go back to "Escape" I watched on Friday. Made at a small cost, but highly recommended! The story is well told , and the suspense is pushed from beginning to end. At the last minute, the audience’s heart is still hanging; sitting there watching the ending subtitles float up, and there are still more thoughts, it is in response to "Think carefully. "Four words. The rhythm is well grasped , the slow places are passed by frame by frame, the fast places are not muddled at all, the shots are quickly switched, and the information is complete and capable; the emotional rhythm is also well grasped , with horror and hilarious interspersed. It's natural.
(If you have to complain, for a relatively conservative audience like me, Fatty’s countless F Cyclonus pornographic sentences are really hard to listen to! But this character is like this, without these characters, I will be equal. If I reflect carefully, I should say myself. Hypocrisy, someone in it is so bad that it is horrible! (Look, I am not spoiling you in order to take care of you), but I still hold Xiaopang a few swear words.)
The theme is very profound . What you "made" is now in the era of "fake news" and "alternative facts", all in the post-Obama era. We have read or imagined or experienced it before (if you have experienced it, it is pure misfortune, so I will be silent for you for a minute) ) Racial discrimination has long been out; what "Escape" tries to present is the so-called post-racial discrimination and racial oppression. To what extent is it distorted? Talking too much is afraid of spoilers, ruining part of the movie watching pleasure. Let’s put it this way, the black uncle, who briefly escaped from his physical confinement, first acted as revenge (the depth of hatred and the suffering of being oppressed), and then he raised his gun to commit suicide without hesitation (again to strengthen the suffering of oppression) Imagine if your life is so miserable that the only way to escape is death, and the only way out of less pain is death, how miserable your life is). If this film is horrible, these points are too horrible, I can't imagine the suffering of the souls of the characters in it.
Also mention the actors. The supporting roles of several protagonists are very brilliant : Meng Mengda boyfriend is full of tension, most actors who have experience in theater performances are very different; girlfriends who are white to glowing, the points of thinking and fear after watching the entire movie are all integrated. In the previous performance, when you clicked on your inertial thinking, all the explanations you came up with were correct. Afterwards, thinking about another conclusion is also correct, which is very good; Fat brother is a joke, I bet it After that, most of you like him the most; father, mother, neighbors and villagers have their own bright spots, and I am most impressed by listening to the movement upstairs and the auction. What the director wants to say is in the language of the lens.
Towards the end of the movie, there was a lot of cheers in the theater. The black girls sitting behind me screamed loudly, and the two white men in plaid shirts sitting next to me also screamed, often embarrassed. The atmosphere of this movie theater is quite relaxed. People don't seem to hide their inner feelings. It is very interesting to watch the film criticize and mock the world while watching the film. I think of the museum upstairs that claims to have "the ugliest art in the world (too ugly to be ignored)", and suddenly I feel that they are closely connected: the world will never be as beautiful as a utopia anyone imagined. You’d better dare to face his ugliness and cruelty, but you don’t have to be bitter, "do everything possible to avoid becoming a victim" (Brodsky), if you can add to the courage you face directly With a few hints of disdain and ridicule, it couldn't be more perfect! These words are not only dedicated to the black people from the blood and tears of growing cotton to isolation to "I have a dream" to the post-Obama era, but also to everyone, including me, to warn and encourage!
