(Part 1)
1. A summer day in forty-eight BC. Fasalia on the battlefield. Scattered corpses, weapons, armors, banners...there were scarlet blood...The wars at the east pile and the west were still not extinguished, and the corpses of soldiers and war horses that were turning into ashes were still emitting blue smoke... …
Caesar stood in front of his camp on the hillside in unsolved uniform, silently overlooking the terrible battlefield. He did not wear a helmet, and saw his gray hair being gently blown by the fishy wind. His expression was cold and depressed. A group of imposing Roman generals and guards surrounded him quietly.
[Voiceover] The Romans fought two brutal civil wars in Fasalia. In the end, Pompeii's army was defeated, and Caesar became the victor of this war and will become Rome's greatest general. Although he won this time, he was not happy. Because he felt that it was not an enemy who was killed or burned to death by himself, but his compatriots.
Facing the messy battlefield, Caesar muttered to himself thoughtfully.
Caesar: In fact, all the dead are Romans. Why should we kill each other? (Suddenly raises his head) But it has nothing to do with me! Pompeii is not good. I don't want it anymore!
At this moment, Caesar's personal servant dumb and Fahua hurriedly ran up to Caesar, screaming and gesticulating down the hillside.
Caesar: What's the matter?
In the distance, a group of cavalry rushed over.
Caesar: Anthony?
The leading general jumped off his horse, took off his helmet, and ran up the hillside.
Caesar: Oh, it's Galida. Is it related to Pompeii?
Galida put his helmet on his waist with his left hand and strode in front of Caesar.
Galida: Long live Caesar!
The guard brought two large glasses of wine, Caesar held a glass, and motioned for the guard to bring the other glass in front of Galida.
Caesar: Have a drink at the bar, Galida. For Anthony's cavalry and Caesar's left and right hands!
The two clinked glasses and drank in one fell swoop.
Caesar: Is there news about Pompeii?
Galida: Let him run away. He pretended to be a hawker and ran away when we were not paying attention. There was a big ship over there to meet him, and there were enough supplies on board. It may be to Egypt.
Caesar: Egypt-very likely. He went to Egypt for a reason. He will definitely go there, waiting for an opportunity to come back. I knew that this matter would have something to follow. (Turns to a tall young general next to him) Rufio, ask the prophet for me, I want to know, will Pompeii make a comeback in Egypt?
Rufio walked away and got into the camp.
Yemaniga, a bearded general next to Caesar, asked carefully.
Yemaniga: Caesar, don't you want to return to Rome immediately?
Caesar: I should go to Egypt first. King Ptolemy is fighting a civil war with his sister Da...
Yemaniga: But the people all over the country hope that Caesar will return to Rome on Soap Day to celebrate Caesar's triumph.
Caesar, who was walking towards the camp, stopped abruptly. He turned around.
Caesar: Triumph? What a triumphant cannibalism! Galida, I want Anthony to lead the other troops back to Rome for me. When can he leave?
Galida: I am waiting for your order.
Caesar: (definitely) Set off now! Back in Rome, he is my plenipotentiary. You can speak on my behalf and perform everything on my behalf!
Galida: I asked him to follow suit. Let him know that what you say is the law.
Caesar: That's right. You remember to remind him, let him control the military power, and maintain the law and discipline.
After speaking, Caesar turned and walked towards his camp. When he reached the door, he stopped and stared at the banner hanging on the top of the camp for a moment. Only then got into the camp.
The flag embroidered with eagles and snakes entangled in the wind, hunting and fluttering...
2. On the Mediterranean Sea, daylight.
...The eagle-snake-patterned flag is stacked into a white sail full of sea breeze.
A large warship is riding the wind and waves on the blue sea. Caesar and his entourage Roman generals stood on the bow. The sunny wind and the open sea and sky make them happy and full of spirits.
[Voiceover] When Caesar’s warship was heading towards Egypt by sea, the Egyptians and Romans were in the same situation. They are fighting each other in a civil war. . The reason for the civil war was that King Ptolemy was reluctant to share the throne with his sister. Not only did he not let her stay in Alexandria, but he also wanted to put her to death.
The warship approached Alexandra, the capital of Egypt, on the coast. The sailors nervously climbed up the masts and lowered the sails. The ship has entered the port.
Caesar and his entourage Roman generals gathered at the bow at the moment, looking at this mysterious exotic city.
I saw the palace closed by the sea. There was no one on the wide steps and under the eaves lined with huge white stone pillars. And under the steps stretched out to the square of the pier, but all kinds of hawker stalls and merchant tents were scattered all over the place. The people crowded in bustlingly. The sound of shouting and selling, the bargaining noise rang noisily.
Seeing this, the Roman generals on the ship sullen their faces and frowned.
Yemaniga: It seems that today is their bazaar, so the people are allowed to sell it near the palace.
Rufio: (Dissatisfiedly) Who is welcome? At least people from the royal family should come out to welcome them!
3. In front of the palace. The palace gate opened suddenly. A group of guards walked out with weapons in hand, lined up on both sides of the palace gate. Immediately afterwards, the guard of honor walked out of the palace with a flower trumpet, and was also divided into a big "eight" in front of the official. The people on the square stopped buying and selling at this time and rushed to the bottom of the steps. Then, the ministers stepped forward and stepped out, standing on the sides. At this time, a half-naked black man came to the center of the palace and bowed and knocked on the cowhide drum in his hand. The people on the square suddenly knelt to the ground, silent. I saw King Ptolemy’s close eunuch Bodinus leading Yicheng Sixteen out of the sedan chair. King Ptolemy, who was still a half-old child, was placed on the throne in the center of the palace. The half-naked black man slapped the drum again, and the people stood up one after another, broke up, and went on their own business.
Bordinus leaned over to the ear of King Ptolemy, smiling flatteringly.
Bordinus: We are here to see how the great Caesar crossed the market to the palace.
4. On the battleship. Several Roman generals squeezed the hilt of the sword at their waist in angrily, but Caesar held his arms to his chest in a calm manner, waiting for the warship to come to the shore.
Yemaniga: Ruffio, you take a few warriors to clear the way! No one is allowed to stop on the way through the market to the palace!
Caesar: Don't go. Don't be fooled, they just want us to clash with their people. Since today is their market, we can also go to the market.
Yemaniga: (surprised) Are you kidding me?
Caesar simply turned around and shouted to the generals and soldiers.
Caesar: Get the money ready, you have to pay for things! Let them put away the sword and take out the money bag!
5. At the fair.
Caesar walked through the market calmly, browsing the stalls on both sides with interest. His entourage guarded him nervously. Caesar suddenly saw that there were many wine jars in a tent, and walked forward happily.
Caesar: There is wine for sale! How to sell this wine?
The wine seller bowed his waist courageously and stretched out four fingers.
Caesar: Four yuan? (To the entourage) I want an altar. Give money! Give money!
The entourage hesitated, and finally reluctantly paid the money to the wine seller at the urging of Caesar. The liquor seller smiled suddenly. Caesar went to other stalls again enthusiastically.
6. In front of the Jade Palace.
The Egyptian ministers, who had been watching the actions of Caesar and his entourage after landing, all had confused expressions on their faces at this moment. The young King Tolemy was even more curious about what was in front of him. He turned to ask his close eunuch Bordinus.
King Ptolemy: Didn't you say that they would push our people away and cause conflict? Why don't you see them doing this?
Bordinus opened his mouth without answering. Archilas, the military commander of King Ptolemy, opened his eyes.
Achilles: What about you, can't you hear me?
Bordinus: (shrugs his shoulders) I don't know what these Romans think, they are... elusive.
Theodorus, the history and philosophy teacher of King Ptolemy, looked at Caesar, who was stepping up the steps heroically and gracefully, and took Bordinus' words.
Theodorus: Especially this person, even more unpredictable.
As soon as the words fell, Caesar was already standing in front of them with pride.
Caesar: You all seem to be in high spirits. I don't know which one is the king?
Bordinus hurriedly half-bowed to King Tolemy, reciting the eulogy that was already well-developed.
Bordinus: I am waiting for the supreme King Ptolemy, the supreme king of mankind. My king guards Egypt and protects the people...
Caesar: (bouts impatiently) Forget it, I, Caesar, is a special envoy of the Roman Congress, so I don't need to say anything about a king or a king before me. On behalf of the Roman Congress, I pay my respects to His Majesty King Tolemy (nodding to King Tolemy) and Queen Cleopatra who is ruling with him-(looks around, looking for it)!
King Ptolemy couldn't hold back his breath, he sniffed and said hurriedly.
King Ptolemy: Didn't you tell you that Cleopatra is dead? She wanted to kill me, so I banished her to the desert. She was already dead.
Bordinus: Yes, these are all true facts. Although your Majesty is kind, she still tried everything possible to kill your Majesty. Despite this, His Majesty didn't treat her much. She did not die in the desert, but she left Alexandria in fear of sin.
Caesar: (sinking his face) I want to know the truth. Your name is Bordinus, the eunuch of the king. I know that it is not easy for you to have where you are today. (Walking in front of Theodorus) Theodorus, you are the king's professor of philosophy and history, of course you know it well. (Turns to face Achilles) Achillas, you are a good warrior of the king. Tell me, where is Queen Cleopatra now?
Achilles: In the army.
Caesar: How many troops did you send to deal with her?
Achilles: A lot.
The bald-headed Theodotus smiled slyly and squeezed in front of Caesar.
Theodorus: Allow me to speak? Of course the great Lord Caesar came to seek peace, and of course we can only extend a warm welcome to your presence...
Bordinus: (twisting like a woman) In fact, although we are in trouble, it is all our internal affairs. What is the Lord Caesar here for?
Caesar: (righteously) I believe you all know that before the death of Cleopatra and Tolemy's father, they appointed Egypt to be ruled by them, and appointed Rome as the executor of his will. Today I am on behalf of the Roman Congress to inquire about Cleopatra's whereabouts. I hope that the dispute between them will be resolved, so that they can reconcile, unite in power, and rule Egypt.
Bordinus: Humph, that's difficult. Cleopatra was automatically abandoned.
Caesar: I hope to make a fair judgment.
Bordinus spoke suddenly, and forced a disgusting smile on his face.
Bordinus: Our King Ptolemy wants to send a valuable gift to Caesar to show respect.
Caesar: (sneer) Really so generous?
King Ptolemy: Achilles, give him Pompeii's ring!
Archilas straightened his upper body, with a gloomy expression on his face, slowly walked to Caesar, and opened a slap. There is an old ring on the palm. At a glance, Caesar recognized this as his son-in-law, the ring of Pang Jian who had just been defeated and fled to Egypt, and a strange premonition flowed through his body. He took the ring silently, watching with mixed feelings. Achillas slowly returned to King Tolemy's side.
Bordinus had been staring sinisterly at Caesar's face. At this time, he made a gesture, and the two Egyptian guards lifted out a large cast iron pot. Bordinus pointed to the big jar to show Caesar and the others.
Bordinus: This thing represents King Ptolemy's loyalty to Rome and his respect for Caesar.
An Egyptian soldier opened the lid of the tin can, reached into the can, grabbed a lock of hair and pulled out a human head.
The Roman generals were shocked and looked at each other. Caesar also paled in horror.
Bordinus: (pleasingly) He is Pompeii.
Theodorus: There is no need to be afraid of the dead.
King Ptolemy tilted his head, revealing his childishness.
King Ptolemy: Are you satisfied, Caesar. They say you will definitely be happy.
Caesar silently touched the ring in his hand, exhaled a heavy breath, looked up at the sky, and was immediately squinted by the blazing, dazzling sunlight.
Caesar: Today's weather... is indeed very hot, why should we be exposed to the sun here?
Bodinus understood that he should accept it as soon as he saw it, and immediately responded.
Bordinus: Our monarch is also very tired. (Turning around and shouting to his servants) Get up and drive back to the palace.
The people were about to enter the palace one by one, and Caesar decisively stopped them.
Caesar: (Undoubtedly) The Roman guards will be stationed in the palace.
Before the words were over, a group of fully armed Roman guards strode into the palace.
Caesar: As for myself, I also want to live in the palace.
Bordinus: (Weirdly yin and yang) I am fortunate to entertain your Excellency personally.
Caesar: Don't worry.
Bordinus followed King Ptolemy's sedan chair into the palace, and the ministers retired one after another. Achilles nodded at Caesar awkwardly. Caesar walked up to him.
Caesar: I don't think it was your idea, right?
Achilles: (Strongly argues) How can that person listen to me, you should understand me.
Caesar: I hope my subordinates will not be neglected.
Achilles retreated, and the honor guard and Egyptian guards filed into the palace. Caesar came to Rufio.
Caesar: Find Pompeii's body for me, the whole body. I want to hold a big funeral for him and let him die to death.
Rufio: I know.
Caesar turned and strode into the palace. Ruffio and the two Roman soldiers started with the big tin can containing the head of Pompeii, and walked down the steps...
7. Night. On the sea in front of Alexander's Palace.
A small boat decorated in the shape of a peacock slipped quietly across the water under the cover of night and approached the palace...
8. The first room of the Egyptian royal palace.
Caesar and other Roman generals are discussing countermeasures indoors.
Caesar: Watch them, be careful.
Yemaniga: As long as there are enough supplies, we can support it.
Caesar: I will find a way.
Dumb Fahua broke in and ran to Caesar, pointing to the door and hurriedly making gestures.
Caesar: (stands up) What's the matter? (Identifies the dumb words of Fahua) Well, it seems that someone gave me a gift. Is this person reliable? It was sent by Cleopatra...he said he was selling carpets? Fahua is very skeptical. It seems that this person is very familiar with the topography of the palace.
Yemaniga: There may be an underground passage.
Ruffio: Could it be the assassin sent by Bordinus?
Caesar: (waves his hand) Okay, let him in.
After speaking, Caesar stood in the middle of the room and waited with his hands on his back. His subordinates guarded around him vigilantly.
For a moment, a handsome Egyptian came in solemnly holding a roll of carpet. His name is Brudarcy.
Rufio held the hilt around his waist and strode forward to Caesar.
Rufio: Are you sending gifts for Cleopatra? lay down. Let's go!
Brudarcy: The gift must be handed over to Caesar by the Queen's order.
Caesar: There seems to be no problem. Give me the sword. You can't cut it with a sword.
Caesar drew a long sword from Yemaniga's waist, and then signaled to withdraw left and right. The generals walked out of the room very uneasy.
Caesar: Is there anyone who sends carpets like you? Why not carry it on your shoulders? That's much easier.
Brudarcy: Oh, because of that... uncomfortable.
Brudarcy knelt down and laid down the carpet carefully. Caesar immediately stretched out his long sword, trying to fiddle with the carpet, but was lightly blocked by Brudarcy.
Brudarcy: Be careful, this carpet is beautiful. I'll open it to you.
Having said that, we must start to open it. Caesar hurriedly stopped his movement with a sword.
Caesar: You reverse it for me!
Brudarcy: It's the same whether or not.
Caesar: I know. But I like the other way around. You never want me to pick it up with a sword, do you? (Raising the sword)
Brudasi hurriedly rolled the carpet upside down.
Caesar bent down and touched the carpet.
Caesar: I think this thing is very soft. You can't just look at the surface, you have to see the bottom clearly.
As Caesar said, he suddenly lifted a corner of the carpet and shook it vigorously. With a "puff", a woman was shaken to the floor. This is a stunning oriental girl with black hair and black eyes. The red dress wrapped around her body reveals her soft figure. A delicate dagger was pinned around her waist. Brudasi hurriedly stood at attention, straightening his body.
Brudarcy: Long live Queen Cleopatra! You are the daughter of the sun and the moon, you are the daughter of Axis, you are the supreme queen...
Caesar dropped the blanket and sneered twice. Queen Cleopatra was lying on the ground: turned her head and took a peek at Caesar's face. Then, she sat up with a groan, trimmed her hair and dress. Caesar bent down, stretched out an arm, and helped her stand up.
Cleopatra immediately raised his head proudly and looked directly at Caesar with his fiery eyes.
Cleopatra: Thank you.
Then, as if she had returned home, she walked away from Caesar casually, walked to the coffee table carelessly, poured herself a large glass of water, and started sipping.
Caesar breathed a sigh of relief, he put down his sword, walked to the table, wrote a note, and then handed Brudarcy to it.
Caesar: Okay. Give this to the night watchman and he will arrange the queen's residence.
Brudarcy took the note and turned to take it.
Cleopatra: Stop! Did I tell you to go?
Brudarcy: (stops hurriedly) No, Her Majesty.
Cleopatra: (turns to Caesar) This is my palace. Everything here should be directed by me. I am not your prisoner, but you are my guest:
Caesar: Thank you very much.
Cleopatra: (to Brudasi) What are you waiting for here?
Brudarcy: Follow the Queen's orders.
Cleopatra: Go ahead!
Brudarcy wanted to leave.
Cleopatra: (coming to him, gently) Brudarcy, thank you.
Brudarcy went out. Caesar looked at Cleopatra wearily.
Caesar: Little girl, of course you are not tired when you wrap it in a rug and carry it, but I am already very tired.
Cleopatra: (Confidently) I think we should get to know each other. Now only with my help can you have a chance to escape your current situation.
Caesar began to feel that the little girl was very interesting. He walked back and forth in the room, picked up a fruit on the fruit plate and took a bite.
Cleopatra: If I were you, I would not eat. Did you bring this? Have you tried it with someone? You have to be careful of someone poisoning it.
Caesar: (playfully) Hmm. But at least this is a way to escape the current situation!
Cleopatra felt a little strange that Caesar was not angry.
Cleopatra: You can bear it. Is it because you are much older than me? (Go to the table more and more unrestrainedly, and examine the map on the table) How does your map look like this? It's too backward!
Caesar: (begins serious) But I always use it.
Cleopatra: (While watching, he criticizes unceremoniously) The lake on the west is not clearly painted, and some important hills are not painted.
Caesar: (Unconvinced) I should give a chance to let your people teach me to draw a map. (Sit down) Right? There will be no problems, right?
Cleopatra saw that Caesar was starting to talk to him seriously, so he hurried to Caesar and stared at Caesar aggressively.
Cleopatra: You should do your best, the sooner the better, so that I can regain the throne of Egypt.
Caesar: My task here is to stop the unnecessary dispute between you and Ling brother.
Cleopatra: (sarcastically) It seems that you are not a fool, are you?
Caesar: (folds his arms across his chest, looks at Cleopatra calmly) Why am I a fool, not like?
Cleopatra: (excitedly) You have seen my brother, heard him speak, and even visited the gang of foxes that control him! Alas, it's better for us both to follow the way Rome asked Egypt in the past. Cereals, forages, treasures, all these things are of interest to Rome. Egypt is rich in products, and I can afford these requirements. The question now is, what should Rome do to me. I want to get back to the throne.
Caesar: It seems that there is no other way besides this.
Kleopatra: (Undoubtedly) There is only this way.
Caesar: (stands up and puts out the elder's air) But I hope you listen to my opinion first. First of all, I think you must be very tired and you should rest.
Cleopatra: (Sharply retorted) First of all, I am not your subordinate, you have no right to tell me to go.
Caesar: Second, you don't have an army here. Little girl, even if there are, they may not follow you. Because you have no money, the wealth of Egypt is not in your hands. What are you giving to others? (Impatiently) Let's talk in a few days!
Cleopatra: (walking around angrily) A few days will be too late, neither you nor me.
Caesar: I can be absolutely responsible for your safety.
Cleopatra: What about your own safety?
Caesar: At least you should trust me, nothing will happen.
Cleopatra: (rushing to Caesar. yelling loudly) I hope, I hope your ingenuity is worthy of the praise of others. You Roman generals sometimes seem to be gods, but there was a time when Pompeii, the gods of the world, was killed in the same way?
This extraordinary sight shook Caesar and aroused the resonance in Caesar's heart. They stood face to face. Caesar lowered his head.
Caesar: (thinkingly) Yes.
Cleopatra: So some people seem to please you on the surface, but in fact they want you to die.
Caesar lowered his head and pinched the Pompeii ring on his chest.
Caesar: (Trancedly) Yes, today I just remembered that he used to be nice to my daughter. My daughter died in childbirth, leaving behind a son and this ring...
Cleopatra looked at Caesar's sad face sympathetically.
Cleopatra: Have a good night's sleep, Caesar. Only by nurturing the spirit can we cope with the crisis. Good night.
Cleopatra pushed open a door. All of Caesar's men stood alertly at the door.
Caesar: Yemaniga, immediately send a personal escort to the queen back!
Yemaniga: Guard!
Two columns of guards came from the aisle. Cleopatra calmly walked into the middle of the guard.
Yemaniga: Turn right!
The guards turned around in unison. Cleopatra looked around proudly.
Cleopatra: The corridors here are so dark! But you don't have to worry if I am here.
Yemaniga: Start!
The guard guarded the queen and went out. Rufeio and other generals kept watching the queen leave before entering the room.
Rufio: We are almost done with what we are going to do today. Let's talk about the other things tomorrow. Okay?
Caesar: I still have something to say. First of all, I want to point out to you that our map is not well drawn. Have you noticed it?
Rufio: (surprised) Really? Why would you say that?
Caesar: I think they are all outdated.
Ru Feiao and others were stunned.
9. Cleopatra, accompanied by his attendants, went through a dark underground passage and came to a basement. Brudasi is waiting here. Cleopatra hurried to a wall. The head of an owl is painted on the wall. Cleopatra leaned closer to the owl's eyes, and Brudasi gently opened the shutter on the owl's eyes, revealing two small round holes. Cleopatra could clearly see the situation in Caesar's room from these two round holes.
10. Caesar's room. Yemaniga was holding a book to read for Caesar and other generals.
Yemaniga: (Reading) In fact, everyone agrees that she does not have Egyptian ancestry, she is a descendant of Greeks. Her wisdom and eloquence are well known. In addition, she is also a well-educated, talented woman proficient in natural science and mathematics. And she can speak several languages. So although she is a female generation, many men can't compare to her. (Puts down the book, looks up) But I don't have a good impression of these talented women.
Caesar: But I think these are talents.
Rufeio also found some documents and was looking through them.
Rufio: Here are some things that will be useful to you. (Reading) In order to achieve her goal, Queen Cleopatra used all means to torture and poison her. And I heard that she also has a set of extraordinary skills in sex. I heard that she has so many lovers that she can't even count them. Some people say that she will actively choose men, just like men choose women. (Looks up at Caesar) General, so we think it is dangerous for you to deal with her.
Caesar woke up from his contemplation.
Caesar: I'm sorry, I didn't hear what you said.
Yemaniga: I believe you didn't trust her, did you?
Caesar: (The elephant is stung) Trust? I believe her is strange. Trust, these two words make me scared to mention it, as if drinking alcohol, drinking completely uncomfortable. I decided to give up drinking, let alone trust? (Tiredly) Okay, I've been through it all day today. (Huo Di stands up, involuntarily speaking) I think you should let me rest. Good night.
Generals: Good night.
The generals retreated one after another.
Ketsy walked to the table irritably and fell heavily on the chair. He untied the necklace from his neck and looked closely at Pompeii's ring which was strung in the middle of the necklace. Suddenly, he threw the ring to the ground in a rage, stood up frantically, and rushed to the door. Suddenly, a violent body convulsion caused him to fall to the floor. He tried his best to lift his head.
Caesar: (Shouting) Fahua — Fahua —
Dumb Fahua rushed into the room and hurriedly took out an ivory stick from a box. Caesar's teeth were swiftly pried open with his hands and feet, and the ivory stick was quickly placed between the teeth. Caesar convulsed in pain, twisting his whole body into a ball. Fava's finally took him to the bed and gave him a full body massage.
11. Cleopatra left the round hole uncomfortably and walked away silently.
12. In the Cleopatra Palace. Cleopatra was combing her hair in front of a mirror. Suddenly, she saw the painful scene in the mirror again. She covered her eyes with her hands.
13. Luxurious and elegant bathroom in Cleopatra Palace. After the bath, Queen Cleopatra was lying naked on a delicate little bed, and was asking the masseur to massage her ivory skin. Her hair was tied high with a bath towel on her head. She is like a statue of Venus lying still.
14. In the morning. The gate of the palace.
Caesar walked out of the palace quickly. Yemaniga hurried forward to meet him.
Yemaniga: Caesar, there is a very important matter. The Egyptian warships on the east coast are constantly shifting troops and munitions.
Caesar: When are they going to deal with us?
Yemaniga: It might be early tomorrow morning.
Caesar: Burn the ship tonight!
Ruffio: But their boat is very close to the shore, and it may spread into the city if it burns up.
Caesar: I hope not, or it will be troublesome. (To Yemaniga) You must remember not to burn too early, you must keep it secret, and only succeed. that's all.
After speaking, Caesar and his party hurriedly left.
Yemaniga: (incomprehensibly) Why must we wait until the night? Why do we have to be late?
Rufio: I don't know these.
15. Caesar's room in the palace.
Caesar walked in violently, and Mausiers, who was sitting indoors, hurriedly stood up.
Caesar: Mausinas!
Mausinas: Here, it was just delivered.
Mausinas handed a volume of letters to Caesar.
Caesar: (Can't wait) God shouldn't play with me like this. (Expand the letter to read urgently) Ah, much better than I thought! (To Mausinas) I think you should go too.
Mausinas: (Standing at attention) Long live Caesar! (Down)
Caesar was hung up in a hurry. Fava's wandered around him busy, tidying up his clothes. Caesar threw the volume of letters into the brazier.
16. Night. The flames that burned letters turned into raging flames that burned Egyptian warships on the sea. The night sky was bright red.
17. A room in the Cleopatra Palace. The queen is sitting at a table with an old Egyptian man with a snow-white goatee. The old man wrote and stroked on a piece of paper, and the queen watched seriously.
Old man: This is called epilepsy, which is the so-called shofar wind. It is caused by cramps. The ancient Greeks believed that only those who had the blood of God would have this disease.
Cleopatra: I heard that Alexander the Great also suffered from this disease?
Old man: So they said that Caesar was just as great.
Cleopatra was lost in thought.
An Egyptian guard broke in.
Guard: Report to Her Majesty the Queen, the only library in the world...
Cleopatra: (dissatisfied) What are you talking about here?
Guard: Those Romans set fire to the ship!
Cleopatra: (stands up) this time?
Guard: Take a look, the fire is going into the city! Only a few rooms have been burned, but the library is gone!
Cleopatra: Really?
Cleopatra turned and ran to the window.
Old man: The library is gone.
The old man rushed to the window tremblingly. Cleopatra opened the window and saw a sea of fire outside the port, and Cleopatra rushed down.
18. Caesar's room. Yemaniga is reporting to Caesar.
Yemaniga: The wind will blow the burning warship into the merchant ship. Four or five are already burning here.
Caesar: Where is our ship?
Yemaniga: All right. The biggest headache now is that a large number of prisoners of war come to surrender, and I want someone to help.
Caesar: No, I still count on you for help here!
Suddenly, there was a loud noise at the door.
[Outside the picture] Guard: Stop!
Cleopatra: Let me go!
Caesar and others hurried to the door, only to see the guards guarding the door hugging Queen Cleopatra hard, the queen struggling desperately, scuffled to push in. The guard released his hand as soon as he saw Caesar. The queen was panting, flushed and walked to Caesar. Caesar embraced his arms, admiring.
Caesar: You should check with others more. It seems that you can also play well, and I think you are getting more and more charming.
Cleopatra: (sneer) Humph, and you will get older and older.
Caesar: (corrected gently) Busier and busier. Forgive me for not being with me.
Caesar turned and walked back to the table with the other generals. Cleopatra turned to Caesar unwillingly.
Cleopatra: Do you smell fire smoke?
Caesar: (Impatiently) It is necessary to burn down the Egyptian warship.
Cleopatra: Those boats are good, you can burn them if you like. Why must it be burned to land?
Caesar: It's just that some merchant ships were scorched by fire, and the burning mast fell into the street.
Cleopatra: But now the largest library in Alexandria is burned!
Caesar: (Try to be patient) Yes, they reported it, and I'm sorry too. If you don’t mind, I hope...
Cleopatra: (Interrupting Caesar) If I mind, are you still going to fight the fire?
Caesar: We plan to organize the Egyptian prisoners of war into a fire brigade.
Cleopatra: (sarcastically sarcasm) That's good. It’s great that the Romans set fire to the family to save them!
Caesar: (Strongly suppressing the fire) Okay, don't quarrel us adults doing things here, girl, I'm not free.
Caesar waved his hand irritably and walked away.
Yemaniga looked at Caesar.
Yemaniga: (contemptuously) Would you like us to help carry her out?
The queen was furious, like a lioness rushing in front of Caesar desperately, cursing hoarsely.
Cleopatra: Barbarian! You barbarians, actually burned our library. The biggest damn!
Caesar finally opened his eyes, clenched his fists, and let out a roar.
Caesar: Alright!
Cleopatra was stunned for a while. The generals "whooped" and surrounded her, waiting for Caesar's order.
In a moment, Caesar regained self-sustainment. He made a gesture to his subordinates.
Caesar: Wait for me to deal with her. I'll call you again when it's over.
The generals reluctantly retreated out.
There was still a sneer on Cleopatra's lips.
Cleopatra: against me? How to deal with me? Do you want to burn it with me?
She sat down on a chair without a hassle.
Caesar: (Trying to calmly) I think we should get to know each other well. No matter what you think of me, first of all you should know that I am Caesar.
Cleopatra stood up unwillingly.
Cleopatra: You should also know that I am the queen of Cleopatra!
Caesar: (Arrogantly) Whether you are the queen or not, it's up to me to say. Otherwise, everything you say is invalid!
Cleopatra stepped back again and again and bowed twice, but those big black eyes kept scorning Caesar.
Cleopatra: (coldly) Oh, long live Caesar!
After speaking, she immediately turned around, raised her head proudly, sneered twice, and walked away from Caesar.
Caesar: (Enraged) You, this inbreeding nation for generations, a corrupt and incompetent person like you, dare to call me a barbarian?
Cleopatra: (Reluctantly) You are barbaric!
Caesar rushed to Cleopatra excitedly, staring at her face.
Caesar: You are just the daughter of the White Priest Cat. Your father also relies on the Romans to be king.
Cleopatra: So, don’t you want me to thank you for your grace?
That charming sneer appeared provocatively on that proud, corrupt face. Caesar was shivering with anger. He grabbed Cleopatra's shoulders violently and shook it vigorously.
Caesar: Okay, don't pretend to be here, don't comfort yourself, you are still thinking about the prosperity of the past here!
Cleopatra: What I care about is the future!
Cleopatra shook his shoulders, but couldn't break free from Caesar's hands.
Caesar: Then do as I say!
Cleopatra looked straight into Caesar's eyes without fear.
Cleopatra: Do as you say? What's the meaning? As if I have been conquered by you.
Caesar: (Confidently) If I wanted to, it wouldn't be so easy.
Caesar suddenly held Cleopatra tightly in his arms. Cleopatra tried to leaning back her proud head. The black eyes still bravely met Caesar's sight.
Cleopatra: You mean... as long as you like, you can do whatever you want with me, right?
Caesar: Yes, this is what I want you to understand.
Caesar kissed Cleopatra's lips suddenly and passionately, tightly, for a long time, as if to suffocate her. For a moment, Cleopatra struggling to raise his head, his eyes flashing fiery. The haughty sneer hung on the plump lips again.
Cleopatra: At least you have to wear a laurel crown, then I know that the person who is willing to give me face is such a great Caesar.
Caesar: You talk too much.
Caesar leaned forward eagerly, kissing Cleopatra's naked ivory neck, shoulders... Cleopatra held his head up, coldly letting him be at his mercy.
Cleopatra: I will disappoint you.
There was a rapid knock on the door outside the painting.
[Outside the painting] Yemaniga: Caesar! The city gate was attacked! The city gate is under full attack!
Caesar jumped away from Cleopatra's side. The door was knocked open, and the generals rushed in fully armed. Caesar was hung up quickly and ran out with the generals. In a blink of an eye, only Cleopatra was left in the large empty room. She calmly and slowly walked out of the room.
19. Chengtou. The battle is going on fiercely. There were fires everywhere, and the sound of fighting everywhere, and a fire dart roared across the night sky.
Caesar ascended to the head of the city under the escort of Yemaniga. Yemaniga raised the huge shield alertly to block the flying darts. Caesar calmly looked down at the battle in the city. I saw the Egyptian army advancing all holding up their shields, forming a long river of shields flowing. The situation is very urgent because the soldiers suppressed the city.
Yemaniga: Now it's our turn to counterattack!
Caesar: (unhurriedly) Wait, we're here to stick! It's going to dawn, we are here to guard.
Yemaniga: (confused) What about dawn?
Caesar: (Mysteriously) As soon as the day breaks, there is the sun.
After speaking, Caesar calmly walked into the fortress, wrapped a blanket on a table, and lay down.
20. Dawn. On the field. A team of cavalry is running.
21. The sky is bright. Caesar ascended to the top of the city accompanied by the generals. The city was silent, and armor and corpses discarded by the Egyptian army were everywhere.
Caesar: Inform the army that it has won. Let all those who guard the city wall rest immediately. All the reserve army and others went after Achilles and surrounded him.
The two generals turned and walked down the city.
Yemaniga: (Unexpectedly) How about we still have a team?
Caesar: Ruffio took Misladatis, they had already set off last night.
Yemaniga: (Confused) Misladatis, is he here so soon?
Caesar: (sly and smugly) I told him when I left Rome. Honestly speaking, Alexandria cannot be attacked without two armies. Don’t you always remind me like this?
22. Rufio and Misladatis led the cavalry in the field under the banner of the banner...
23. In the Royal Palace. Cleopatra was sitting elegantly in front of a long table with a sculptural expression. On the table, there are several sculpted heads and busts of people who are yet to be completed. Several beautiful maids were wearing long skirts, serving lightly around them. A maid walked in with a tray in her hand and a glass of wine. She knelt down with her legs carefully in front of the queen, picked up the delicate goblet, took a sip of wine, and then wiped the side of the wine glass with her lips just now with her handkerchief.
Maid: Your Majesty, I have tasted this glass of wine. If the wine is poisonous, the slave and maid will be willing to die even if they die.
After speaking, she held the tray high in front of the queen. The queen didn't notice her at all. At this time, the queen's close maid turned around.
Personal maid: After you finished tasting, you wiped the cup with a cloth. Why?
Maid: (worriedly) I'm afraid I will dirty my arms.
Cleopatra stopped the sculpture and raised his eyes.
Cleopatra: (gently) You try again.
The maid immediately collapsed to the ground in despair, begging with tears streaming down her face.
Maid: Odis said he would kill me. Forgive me, your majesty, forgive me...
Cleopatra: (serenely) I forgive you.
The maid stopped crying immediately and raised her head.
Cleopatra: (still calmly) Drink it.
The maid held up the wine glass with a stupid expression, took a sip, and immediately fell to the ground and died.
The maids screamed. Cleopatra's personal maid hurried out, shouting.
The personal maid: Brudasi——Brudasi——
24. A room in the Egyptian palace. The door suddenly opened. The Roman general Yemanija walked in imposingly. He stood in the center, scanning the Egyptian monarchs who were waiting in the room.
Yemaniga: Listen, everyone, pray silently for the Roman Congress and the people, for the great messenger Caesar. Everyone stood up.
The Egyptian ministers in the room stood up. Queen Cleopatra stood up. King Ptolemy glanced at Bordinus in confusion, and stood up hesitantly.
Several Roman guards walked in, lined up on both sides of the gate. Caesar walked into the room and sat down on a chair in the center.
Caesar: (seriously) I represent the Roman Congress and the people in the trial.
Bordinus: (Weirdly tuned) What is going to be judged now? The trial here is the Queen’s power, not you. And this matter is invalid, the queen lied to you.
Caesar: (sternly) I'm talking about the law here. Bodinus, what I want to accuse is that you instigated the Egyptians to attack the Roman army and also accused you of conspiring to harm Queen Cleopatra. For these two crimes, I pronounce you a death sentence.
Two Roman guards lifted Bordinus out.
Caesar looked at the window irritably.
Caesar: Hey, why is the sun so fierce? Draw the curtains!
The guard hurriedly closed the thick velvet curtains. There was still a scream from Bordinus outside the window. Cleopatra was shocked and shuddered all over. King Ptolemy looked pale in horror.
King Ptolemy: There is a kind of you who even killed me. What crime did I commit?
Caesar: From now on, you are not protected. I want you to leave the palace immediately! We will send you to Achilles!
Ptolemy: (Surprise) Will you send me to my army?
Caesar: You can also ask your mentor Theodotus to go with you.
Ptolemy: (excited as a child) Did you hear that? You don’t have to die like me! teacher!
Theodorus: (The wolf berates Ptolemy fiercely) Don't be too late, you fool! (Turns to face Caesar) Allow me to speak? You also know that Achillas has been surrounded by Mysladatis and your army, and you send the king there to die!
Caesar: What if I want to be a king without some setbacks?
Theodorus no longer cared about his monarch at this time, he tried to defend himself.
Theodorus: But what about me? I am not an emperor or a general. I don’t know anything about war. I’m just a scholar, I have knowledge, and I’m just a literati.
Caesar: Literati, literati? I only know to follow my decree.
A group of Roman guards walked in and escorted them all out. Only the exhausted Caesar and the undecided Queen Cleopatra remained in the room for a while.
Favrell walked in and handed a dagger to Caesar.
Caesar: Fahrenheit, take this dagger and wipe it clean. Brudarcy used it to kill Bordinus. There is the blood of Bordinus on it.
Fahua took the dagger and went out.
Cleopatra: How do you know that Bruce killed him?
Caesar: He always wanted to do this.
They were silent for a moment, and Cleopatra became angry again.
Cleopatra: I should believe you, you can distrust me!
Caesar: (weakly) I don't believe it at all times.
Cleopatra: But in just a few minutes, you made me the recognized ruler of Egypt. Why?
Caesar: (restlessly) Alright, enough, let's save it until tomorrow!
Cleopatra: (Aggressively) Why tomorrow?
Caesar: (Patience) This is more suitable for Rome.
Cleopatra: Is that the same for Egypt?
Caesar walked back and forth angrily.
Caesar: (crudely) Egypt, Egypt! I thank you, you go out!
Suddenly, he convulsed all over his body and fell on the bed, curled up in pain. Cleopatra immediately rushed to the box and hurriedly took out the ivory stick from the box. Caesar struggled stubbornly when he saw her behavior, and stood up.
Caesar: (Badly) I don't need this thing!
Cleopatra immediately stood up straight with restraint.
Cleopatra: Actually, I don't have to betray myself. I can call Fahua out.
Caesar: You made a hole in the wall and peeked at me. Someone is spying on us now.
There was another violent convulsion, and he fell on the bed again.
Caesar: (difficultly) You asked Fahua to come to see me.
Cleopatra approached the head of the bed and bowed his head to Caesar.
Cleopatra, (gently) You still want to call me back, Caesar?
Caesar: (struggling to squeeze out between your teeth) What else do you want? What do you want?
Cleopatra sat down gently by the bed and looked at Caesar affectionately.
Cleopatra: (softly) I want to help you.
Caesar tried to stand up, but could not move.
Caesar: You have never helped me, and you can't help me.
He barely got up, sweating profusely. Cleopatra hurriedly took out his handkerchief and gently wiped the sweat from his forehead.
Cleopatra: (infinitely affectionately) Let me help you.
Caesar could no longer support his self-esteem, and he fell heavily on the pillow.
Caesar: It seems that nothing can be escaped. Life will see my decline, I will fall to the ground in a chaotic army, will be mocked mercilessly by them, and let them divide me.
Cleopatra: (reverently comforting) Many gods have diseases like you, even Alexander the Great.
Caesar: They were all defeated later and let the rebel army divide them.
Cleopatra: (leaning down and staring into Caesar's eyes) You won't. I forbid them to do this.
After speaking, she leaned over Caesar, hugging and kissing him tightly.
25. In the main hall of the Egyptian palace. Queen Cleopatra sat high on the golden throne. She was wearing a long, drooping dress, her whole body was covered with various precious accessories, and her eyelids were painted with a layer of golden oil. She sat dignifiedly, keeping her eyelids down. It's like a statue of a goddess. Caesar stood beside the queen's throne with a very serious expression. The main hall was full of Egyptian subjects. On the side close to the throne stood the Roman generals under Caesar.
Caesar glanced at the people in the hall and announced solemnly.
Caesar: I crowned the Queen in the name of the Roman Congress and the people.
Caesar took off the golden crown with both hands from a tray held high by an attendant, and put it solemnly on the queen's head. The Egyptian subjects in the hall immediately knelt to the ground. For a while, the Roman generals who were still standing appeared very prominent. Caesar waved his hand, motioning for them to kneel as well. They knelt down on one leg reluctantly and slowly. Caesar just bent her knees and was about to kneel. The queen, who had been dropping her eyelids, quietly kicked out a soft satin kneeling pad from under her long skirt.
Cleopatra: (softly, quickly) Kneeling on the cushion won't hurt you.
Caesar: How can it hurt? But I never kneeled for a woman.
Caesar said and knelt down happily. Yemaniga stood up with a "whoop" with an aggrieved look on his face. Rufeio and other generals hurriedly pulled him and knelt down. All this was seen by the Egyptian giants, and they looked at each other in panic.
26. The carved promenade in the Egyptian palace leading to the harem.
Caesar wandered down the corridor anxiously, waiting. After a while, Queen Cleopatra dragged a veil-like long skirt and walked lightly across the promenade towards the harem. Caesar couldn't help staring blankly, then quickly stepped onto the promenade and followed the queen into the harem.
27. Inside the queen's palace. The queen held her head proudly, and walked into the ward. Caesar walked in after him.
Caesar: I can't stay away from Rome for so long. This will happen. Anthony sent people all day long to inform me and told me to go back. After I go back, war will break out in the north and east. Even in Rome, I have a lot of opponents.
The queen didn't turn her head, walked to the big bed with pink veil, took off the crown, took off the long skirt, lifted the veil, sat on Rouqin's bed, lay down gently, and then took a look. Caesar.
Cleopatra: You can deal with them as you did before.
Caesar: It is not so easy to deal with them. They are as delicate as spider webs. You should always know what happens when spider webs are not cleaned often.
Cleopatra: Do you trust that Anthony?
Caesar: He is the person I trust most in this world.
Cleopatra: (Emotionally) Wouldn't it be enough to let him sweep the spider web for you? You stay with me here! The term of your appointment as commander is one year, and you can do anything during this year.
Caesar involuntarily took off his armor, opened the veil, went to bed and lay down, looking up at the top of the tent.
Caesar: But I can't do nothing all day long.
The queen turned and lay worriedly on Caesar's chest, looking at his face.
Queen: If you go back to Rome, will there be wars along the way? Is it necessary to fight?
Caesar: Of course I have to fight.
Queen: I have read your war review report, which is the one about the Battle of Gaul.
Caesar: My writing is better than Garris's, who's better?
Caesar waited nervously for the queen's ruling. The queen pondered reservedly for a moment.
Queen: Your genre is fundamentally different.
Caesar: (uneasily) Is it dull?
The queen turned on her back. Caesar hugged her sideways eagerly.
Queen: Hmm...maybe too contrived in interluding.
Caesar: (Excitedly) You know me! Some critics like Brutus say that my Latin is very poor.
Queen: You just let him go again and again? I heard people say that Brutus is your son, isn't it?
Caesar: I don't have a son at all.
Queen: Kelfonia is your third wife. How can you get nothing after you have been married to her for so long? Didn't you give birth to a son? Are there none at all?
Caesar: It's not that you don't know that Kelfonia is barren.
The queen looked away from Caesar, and she looked deeply at the ceiling.
Queen: A barren woman is like a dry river.
Caesar didn't want to talk about his wife like that. He hugged the queen tightly, and kissed her neck and shoulders again and again.
Caesar: We are meaningless to say these silly things.
The queen seemed to be unaware of Caesar's hugs and kisses, and she was still staring at the ceiling, as if she had been looking at the high and distant starry sky.
Queen: A woman should help her husband open branches and grow leaves. Her job is to help her husband give birth to children, just like the Nile is to Egypt, feeding countless people. I am the Nile, and I will raise many children. The goddess Eixis (Note 1) has said to me, she said that my breasts are full of love and life, and my spring is far and rich enough. (The more you speak, the slower, the more you speak, the lighter it is, almost a whisper). People say that such a woman must give birth to a son.
They hugged tightly and kissed passionately, as if they had melted into one.
28. A simple carriage galloped through a dense boulevard...
29. Rome. Inside Caesar's Mansion.
There was a slowing sound of horseshoes outside the door. Dressed in a simple and elegant dress, Kelfenia hurriedly ran down the wide steps and came out of the hall.
The handsome and robust Anthony walked in the door. His whole body exudes youthful brilliance, and the wind blowing behind him seems to be swept into the morning vitality. He stood respectfully in front of Kelfenia, bowed his head and kissed her hand.
Anthony: Do you welcome me?
Kelfonia: (Quietly) Caesar welcomes you all the time, and so do I. You are always welcome.
Anthony gently took her arm, and the two walked into the hall together.
Anthony: (Somewhat embarrassingly) Since you are his wife, I should tell you before this matter is known.
Kelfonia: (with some excitement) Tell me whether my husband is married to Queen Cleopatra?
She calmed down again, went to the table, and poured a glass of wine for Anthony.
Kelfonia: The wine I pour is the kind you like to drink. I also heard that when they held the ceremony, they still used the Egyptian ceremony!
Anthony: (carefully comforting) You don't have to take all this seriously.
Kelfonia: (depressively) I heard that Caesar was also declared the god of Egypt. (Sighing) He has finally become a god, he must be very happy.
Anthony wanted to comfort her and defend Caesar, so he couldn't help but talk a little bit.
Anthony: Kelfonia, we all know him. This marriage is not valid for Rome. Moreover, it is based on political reasons, or to consolidate the alliance between Rome and Egypt, or...or some barbaric customs.
Kelvernia: You are really loyal to him^ The news came as soon as you arrived. It's a pity that rumors come sooner than you! As for the truth, you haven't heard people say that Cleopatra already has his son! This situation is in my heart. I know him.
30. The bedroom of the Queen of Egypt
The queen groaned in pain while lying on the bed, and the maids were quietly and nervously busy around her. The queen called her close maid to the bed and confessed breathlessly.
Queen: By the time my son... is born, remember... do as I say, and hold a... ceremony for him. When he becomes a prince,...send him...to Caesar.
Personal maid: Call Caesar in, right?
Queen: (Hurry) No. You do what I...instructed, hug my son... and give it to him. Give it to him in the presence of... his subordinates, and put it under Caesar's feet in the presence of all the Romans. Remember to put it under his feet.
Personal Maid: I will do as you say.
31. In the main hall of the Egyptian palace. The Egyptian ministers and Roman generals gathered in the hall awaiting news of the queen's childbirth.
Caesar wandered restlessly in front of the door leading to the harem. He stared at the closed door, his eyebrows furrowed, and he paced helplessly. When he walked past the place surrounded by his subordinates, he heard his generals talking about him.
Rufio: Don't worry, Caesar will not be apostate. If you say that, you just don't understand him.
At this time, the door to the harem opened! The noisy hall was suddenly silent, and people's eyes were all focused on the open door.
A team of Yichen, composed of court ladies, came out with demeanor. Walking in the forefront is the queen's personal maid. I saw that she was holding a golden rectangular tray sacredly, and the newborn baby was lying on the tray. This group of people solemnly and slowly passed between the Egyptian ministers and Roman generals, and walked towards Caesar. Suddenly, all the sights in the hall were focused on Caesar. Caesar straightened up religiously and stood motionless. At this moment, Yemaniga yelled at Caesar nervously.
Yemaniga: Caesar, remember the laws of Rome! When you pick him up, you recognize that he is your flesh and blood, a Roman citizen, and an heir!
The maids came to Caesar and knelt down at Caesar's feet. The maid of the queen who was headed by the queen knelt on the ground, holding the tray in both hands. Caesar leaned down happily, teasing the pink baby. The maid gently undid the swaddle and showed it to Caesar. The newborn kicked and cried immediately. The loud, sweet cry suddenly resounded throughout the hall. Caesar couldn't help holding the baby up, holding the baby high with both hands, and shouting excitedly to all the people in the hall.
Caesar: (very joyously) Son! I have a son! I have a son!
32. In front of the Roman Congress Hall. On the wide steps in front of a row of large white columns, the veterans in white robes who came to the meeting gathered. The time for the meeting was not yet up, so they talked about the most important news in Rome these days.
Cassius: (Viciously, provocatively) His son is a prince of Egypt! He and his Egyptian queen named their son Caesar Lean. Prince Caesar! As if he was destined to be Rome's heir!
Casca: (sarcastically) It's a pity that Rome doesn't have a throne. I don't think there will be any more. Caesar definitely doesn't like it.
Brutus: (Generously) But then, he thinks his son has been thinking about it for a long time, and we should be happy for him.
Rina: (Insignificantly) We understand that you are so happy for him. That way, Caesar officially admitted that he had a son, so that no one would say that Brutus was his son again.
Brutus: (Angry) Isn't this a good thing? You think everyone is like you, kidnapped, deceived, and deceived, but you don't have the guts!
Cassius: (Insidiously) Brutus, he would be very happy with you. But, turn your heads and look at Anthony! He and the baby are part of Caesar.
The elders looked in the direction of Cassius’s fingers, and saw Anthony in a white robe standing in front of a small merchant’s tent under the steps and talking to others. He seemed to feel the sight of the elders, turned around, noticed that these people were chewing their tongues, and picked up their legs and stepped up the steps.
Brutus: For the Romans, his stay in Egypt is not a bad thing. Moreover, the Egyptians simply regarded him as a god. He is just a mortal here. What role does he have? Besides, there are many people here who are afraid of his ambition. In fact, there is nothing terrible, but I am afraid that he will destroy the republic, is it?
Cassius: Yes, he will definitely do it, it's just a matter of time.
Anthony: Your mouth is strong enough, Cassius! Be careful with your tongue, you will lose your life.
Cassius: If so, let you kill first. Your sword is so powerful, do it! Don't you dare to kill me?
Brutus: At the meeting today, there will be people talking nonsense after drinking. Let's bear with it.
After speaking, he turned his head and stepped up the steps and walked to the Congress Hall. The elders also followed suit to the Congress. Anthony looked around and noticed that a pale, depressed veteran who had been taciturn was slowly taking the last step up the steps. Anthony hurried to his side.
Anthony: Oak Davis! What was the name of Caesar's son just now? Don't you feel upset?
Oak Davis: (Quietly) No.
Anthony: You don't talk much, so some people say that your opinions are like gold.
Oak Davis: (Deeply in the city) I always talk about things that I think should be said.
Anthony: You can do it. Is he fine over there?
Oak Davis: That's right.
Anthony: (sneerly) Did you know, Oak Davis? On the day you die, you will be thought that you never existed.
Oak Davis sneered and did not speak. The two walked to the Congress Hall together...
33. In the royal palace of Egypt.
Caesar stood waiting in the outer room of the queen's palace. In a moment, the door opened. Queen Cleopatra, wearing an apricot dress, walked out, and the close-fitting maid behind her hugged little Caesar.
Caesar: You think I won't say goodbye to you, do you?
Queen: Caesar, now I bring my son to see you. I hope I can see you for a while.
Caesar walked up to the baby, leaned over and touched his little face affectionately, instructing affectionately.
Caesar: Remember, dear son, no one can take away the things you don't want to give up. Goodbye, little Caesar.
The maid took the child away. The queen walked sadly to the other side of the room, with her back to Caesar. The two were speechless for a long time.
Queen, (still with her back on her back, in a low voice) I let the carpet be wrapped in front of you, that is already doomed, (slowly turning around, looking at Caesar infatuatedly) I belong to you. When are you going to come back to pick us up?
The queen walked to Caesar. Caesar hurried to meet her and hugged her shoulders.
Caesar: Soon.
Queen: (sentimentally) What will happen soon? One year...
Caesar: It will take a while before I get back to Rome.
Queen: When will you wait?
Caesar: It's hard to say, I hope it won't be long.
Queen: I hope time passes faster. Now time is my enemy!
Caesar: (deliberately relaxed and humorous) Would you like me to help you conquer it? Do you have any good tactics?
The queen thought for a moment, and raised her head proudly.
Queen: (Resolutely) I want to take my son to Rome. Let people meet your son. He will rule that world in the future.
Rufio appeared at the door. The queen hurriedly turned and walked away from Caesar.
Rufio: Caesar, if you don't leave, you will be in trouble as soon as the tide recedes! (Turns around and backs out)
Caesar approached the queen's back, gently pushed away her thick black hair, and kissed the sculpted neck affectionately.
Caesar: I'm really right. Even if I have the ability, I have to be limited by time.
After speaking, he turned around resolutely and strode out of the palace gate. The queen stood with her back to the palace gate, and kept listening to Caesar's footsteps as he went away...
[Voiceover] Finally, after three years, Caesar fought north and south in Africa and Asia Minor, and finally had the opportunity to return to Italy, and then send people to meet Queen Cleopatra and his son to Rome to reunite with him .
34. Inside the gates of Rome. The people of Allure flocked to both sides of the square in the city gate to welcome the arrival of the sons of Egyptian queen Cleopatra and Caesar. On the steps facing the city gate and the square, there is a long row of seats. Caesar, wearing a flower crown, was sitting in the center with a high spirit. Anthony stood beside him faithfully. The senators of the Roman Congress in white robes all sat on either side of Caesar. On the side under the steps, there is also a row of seats for the distinguished ladies of Rome. Among them, Kylfonia was pale and sat very calmly.
Suddenly, the drum music became louder. A team of drummers on horseback rushed in through the open gate. They lined up quickly in the square. Blowing, beating, deafening drum music stirred up the first burst of enthusiasm among the Romans on the court. The people crowded into the square, and suddenly there was a loud voice. After playing the drum music, the rider quickly dispersed around the square. At this time, he rushed into a group of cavalry. They fired thousands of arrows to the side of the square, lit countless fireworks, and released clouds of colorful mist on the square. Thousands of half-naked black men and women, dressed in various animal skins, lined up in the smoke while dancing. In the rhythm of drums, they twisted their bodies, and
