The show is really black and humorous. The most impressive is that Kominsky’s doctor called and told him good news and not good news. The good news turned out to be the slow spread of cancer cells. Kominsky said, you just told me that I have cancer, how can I have a nice day! The doctor said, what you get is a relatively easy one. Other diseases at your age may kill you earlier than this.
Life is like this, even if you wait nervously and live carefully, fate will suddenly throw you multiple-choice questions, which must be answered, worst or much worse. All you can do is accept it and learn to live with it peacefully.
Kominsky and Norman, the one who has lost the love of his life, has to fight loneliness and hopelessness, and the other has cancer, has to fight the disease, and has to take care of his old friend Norman. They support each other in a way that is not completely friendly, and this friendship is moving.
Norman said, I was scared. Kominsky is anxious, we will all be afraid, do you know why? Because the world itself is fucking scary. By the time we will get through all this, because we are not alone, you are not alone.
What made me cry in this drama was that after Irene passed away, due to excessive misses, Norman began to talk to the imaginary (non-existent) Irene. That was the only scene where he could smile during his painful time. Irene died before him. This was unexpected. What is the meaning of life? How can the pain be resolved? Maybe Kominsky's theory will give him the answer.
The two leading actors are full of acting skills. It's worth seeing.
