In recent years, films about the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, following the 2010 "As if I'm Not There" (also translated "War and Tears"), Angelina Jolie also filmed "The Land of Blood and Honey" in 2011 , The film length is 127 minutes. Julie is a set of editors and directors, which is not easy for someone who is new to directing the tube. The reality is that the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina are unwilling to mention this war, because the war has caused irreparable pain to that piece of land. When Julie touched the wound, she not only focused on expression, but also obviously had the meaning of warning.

What is commendable is that Julie is not afraid of challenges and difficulties. All the scenes are in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and all the actors are in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The need for shadows can be seen from its intentions. What's more, she went to the refugee camps in Sarajevo many times and visited the families of the victims to experience the war firsthand. I have to say that Julie is a woman full of wisdom and love, and the fusion of the two can make her shoot such an amazing work. It may be too mediocre to say something extraordinary.

Try to find the similarities between this film and "As if I'm Not There". The same war, the same pain, inevitably have many similar situations. For example, the innocent murder of Mu men, the various abuses and rapes suffered by women, and so on. Those war criminals who committed genocide atrocities are really numerous.

Zhu Li said: "This is a story about love, not a political declaration." In fact, Zhu Li initiated the filming of a documentary film "The End of the World at This Time" as early as 2005. Obviously, this cannot be compared with "The Land of Blood and Honey".

Before the war in 1992, Bosnia and Herzegovina was originally a quiet land, where the Serbs, Muslims and Croats lived together in harmony. Marriage between men and women between several ethnic groups was originally normal. However, due to the immediate disintegration of the former Yugoslavia, the original and subsequent conflicts were mixed and gradually developed into a brutal war between the Serbs and the Muslims and other ethnic groups. The love and marriage between various ethnic groups have been greatly impacted, and even developed into a situation of incompatible water and fire.

The heroine in the film, the beautiful Ella, is a girl from the Mu ethnic group who studied painting at university. The painting "Sister" is also in the Sarajevo Museum. And her boyfriend Daniel Walkovich, whom she has just met recently, is a Serb police officer. The two were dating in a bar. During the hot dance, a shell hit, and the war started when they were caught off guard. Later, Aika and other Muslim women were taken to the Serb military camp. In broad daylight, just as Aika was about to be raped by a soldier, Daniel, who had been promoted to captain of the Serb army, saw Aika and hurriedly said. : "This is mine." But he just acted and let her go.

In order to reduce the nuisance of fellow soldiers to Ai Ka, Daniel specially recruited Ai Ka to his command room regularly to cover his eyes and ears and protect her safety. Of course Ika knew that all of this was Daniel's good intentions. The love between the two of them unfolded in such a strong and fearful manner, inevitably there were deterrents and irreconcilable contradictions, but love was always simple. Later, he was about to be sent to another place, fearing that she would be hurt, he asked Aika to escape from the back window, but she was caught back as soon as she ran out. The inhuman experience did not extinguish the determination of her and her sisters to escape from the devil's cave. She successfully escaped again and met her sister. The sister's child was also killed before. They live in the Muslim resistance camp.

Someone told them that they had seen the oil painting "Sister" she created in Daniel's command room. Aika's heart tightened. Know that Daniel is back. Unfortunately, Ai Ka was arrested again because of betrayal by a traitor. Fortunately, with Daniel's care, he decided to let Aika live with him and paint him when he was free. But the paper couldn’t contain the fire. Someone complained to Daniel’s father who was a general. This annoyed the war madman. He personally went to Aika and asked her to draw him and tell him a story of war that was not shared by all. Then he even instructed Daniel's subordinates to come in and rape Aika.

At the end of this scene, it happened to be seen by Daniel who hurried back. He furiously looked for an opportunity and ended up with the soldier who raped Aika. But war has always been cruel. Although Daniel said to Ai Ka: "For this war, I only feel sick, I don't want to kill them." But when faced with the rebels, he will shoot the opponent mercilessly. Military is a bargaining chip for politics, and war is the ultimate effective tool for dirty political games. Daniel's father and his like tried to use this fascist consciousness to practice their evil deeds more and more deeply.

The war has been carried out until 1994, the United Nations has dispatched peacekeeping forces, and NATO has also intervened. When Daniel rode Aika to the Sarajevo Museum quietly in the dim night, and showed her the famous paintings that she had been enamored with for a long time, the soldiers came to report and asked him to assemble in an emergency. Daniel told her that they would hide in the church to avoid allied aircraft bombing, and asked Aika to wait for him if he did not come the next day.

When Ai Ka returned to the house and waited quietly, Daniel was huddled in the church, and he was stubbornly blocked by the Mu rebels, and he almost lost his life. The blast of cannonballs set off him and threw him down severely. In confusion, he saw Ai Ka's sister. He seemed to understand, and stumbled back. When he saw Ai Ka, he said, "You sent them the information about our church." Ai Ka said in horror: "I'm sorry." When he wanted to say something, Ai Ka said She was shot mercilessly by Daniel, and blood flowed from her head.

Seeing the woman he loved so deeply, he ended his life in this way. He ran out in pain and walked towards the UN peacekeeping force, knelt down and said hoarsely: "I am a war criminal...". Such a sad flower of love has completely withered in that painful land of blood and honey. They could live a carefree, peaceful and happy life together. Therefore, it is the only choice for mankind to keep mankind away from war. Any war launched with excuses is intolerable and forgivable.
