The setting and metaphor are awesome enough, but the ending is just barely completing the task, not amazing enough

In this film review, I mainly talk about the story itself.

Let me talk about its main settings: first, the film constructs two worlds, one is the kingdom of snowmen living on the clouds represented by migo, and the other is the human world living under the clouds represented by percy. After the film began, we realized that the two worlds are not interoperable, but that the two sides occasionally found traces of each other.

Secondly, our audience is watching from the perspective of God, and all the dialogues between the characters can be understood. However, the two sides can’t communicate with each other in language. This has a setting that I find very interesting. In order to express this obstacle, when the camera's perspective is on a snow monster or a human, the language of the other party is vague. In fact, I think this setting is very powerful. On the one hand, it is very entertaining. On the other hand, this hinders it is indeed very vivid. The most important thing is to promote the development of the plot! This is the source of the contradiction between humans and snow monsters!

Then as migo and percy went back and forth between the two worlds, the friendship between the two deepened. It seemed that they wanted to push the story in a direction where the two worlds were better understood, but at this time a turning point occurred. Maintaining the cornerstone of the village's survival, told migo the secret of the world. So in the village chief’s rap, we were shocked to learn that the snow monster ancestor had contact with humans, but was hunted and killed by humans. In order to reproduce and survive, this species climbed up the mountain and made clouds with water vapor. Separating the two worlds, the patriarchs of previous generations also made up one lie (stone law) to make this worldview more and more credible. At first we just thought that the old patriarch was just stubborn, but found that he was just holding on to that responsibility alone. This makes his previous words quite meaningful. When migo asked, "Is the stone rule on his body heavy enough", he said, "A person with a strong spine can hold the position" (the general idea is that).

I personally feel that this rap is the core of the whole film, and the whole compelling frame came up in an instant, because it no longer involves the previous themes such as friendship, love or dreams. This is simply a metaphor for the entire human society. This coincides with a point of view in "A Brief History of Humanity", that is-the establishment of human society is based on fictitious power, social order, law and morality, etc. are all those extremely good few people ruling the majority. Tools, which make people believe in their existence, but how can the objectivity of these norms or forms be explained. When applied to this film, the past patriarchs are writing some stone rules to make the world order more perfect. The daily affairs of the villagers are also a small part of the operation of the world. Isn’t this a portrayal of our lives? Only a handful of people will understand how the world of life is possible.

In the face of this huge truth, migo chose to hide it in order to protect his friends and tribesmen, but at this time the words his dad said to him changed his mind, "You have awakened them, don’t let them They are sleeping.” Indeed, how can people who know the truth continue to live in lies. So he finally chose to tell the villagers the truth with his friends, and the humans and the snow monsters also began to understand each other.

As a cartoon for children, it is understandable to have such a solution. After all, we must teach children something with positive energy. But in the adult world, the ending in the last ten minutes is too vulgar and not advanced. I'm sorry for the world that has been built up so hard. In fact, I prefer to believe in the "chain of suspicion". Between two civilizations or species, without understanding each other, a series of suspicion problems will arise. In the end, for our own survival, we must destroy each other, human beings. He Xuezu faced this situation. With the lessons learned from our ancestors, it is impossible to go down the mountain to communicate with humans because it is too utopian. However, this fairy tale is too dark to be photographed in this way, and it is not the main task of this film to explore human nature and human hearts.

But the degree of completion is not bad, but it's a pity that the previous settings are so awesome.
