Viewing experience: love makes people complete

This film is a film adapted from a musical. Because the author has never watched the musical, I don’t care whether the adaptation is successful or not. But it’s really a very, very enjoyable musical film. It’s not so much a musical film. I would like to call him a very fascinating music video (MV). Of course there is a reason for me, so I just use my favorite music film "Begin Again" as a simple explanation: Normal music movies are Mixing music into the movie, using music to create the atmosphere of the moment, like Adam Levine’s Lost Stars is a very successful movie theme song. When we hear this song, we will think of the scenes in the movie, plus the catchy melody. Not only does this movie leave a deep impression in people’s hearts, it also makes Lost Stars permanent in our music library and in our minds. But "Rock and Roll Barbie" is different. He "fuses" music into the movie. The lyrics are just like lines, but with the melody and sing him out. The emotions, expressions, and all performances of the actors are completely integrated into the first song. The director used "music" to tell the story very cleverly! I thought: It might not be more appropriate to use the wonderful combination of "cotton candy and hot cocoa" to illustrate my feelings!

And what runs through the film is "gender identity." Although this is the main axis, the director said lightly, and occasionally a loud slap will wake you up, but after a while, you will continue to be deeply trapped. Perhaps the same is true of Hedwig in the colorful band performance? Hedwig is a rock singer who loves transgender, but he has lived with regret for the moment he left. After the divorce, Hedwig and Tommy formed a two-person orchestra with a successful career. Until he was touched by Tommy's originally male body during the intimacy with Tommy, Tommy left Hedwig because he couldn't accept it. At first, I always thought that it was because of Tommy's departure that Hedwig was so hysterical, but later I found out: In fact, Hedwig has never really accepted and faced himself. He hides his true self in the song, so Hedwig singing on the stage is always so crazy and true, because only the few minutes of singing: he is the real him until the end, he finally shows his true face, standing naked. In front of Tommy, facing him frankly is also finally facing and accepting himself frankly. That scene made my eyes blurred.

I think Hedwig is like the Berlin Wall. His body is on the east, but his mind is on the west. One part of him is a man and another part is a woman. One part of his consciousness is free and unrestrained, and the other part. We are locked in our own bodies. In modern society, are we also like Berlin Walls after another? We divide ourselves into different categories, but find that we do not belong to a certain category, so we are anxious and low self-esteem, but do you know? The Berlin Wall was demolished in 1990, but we are still trapped in our own classification. Finally, Hedwig confessed that he faced Tommy and his moon tattoo turned into a sun tattoo: it is love that makes it all complete. : The origin of love

In addition, I still want to mention a clip I like very much in this film: Passionate Kiss after Passing Through Clothes. When watching this part, what reminds me directly is the Clothes Rain arranged by Xavier Dolan in "Two-sided Lawrence". Rain) When I was watching Lawrence Duplex at the time, I always wanted to know why it is "clothing" and what exactly does it mean? After watching Rock Barbie today, I think maybe clothes also represent "intimacy"? Clothes cover our whole body and sometimes represent a person’s taste and character. If we can help a loved one choose clothes, or even visit his wardrobe, maybe the couple has reached a certain stage of stability. It’s really romantic to watch Tommy take Hedwig’s hand through the hanging clothes, sometimes covering the faces of both sides, and sometimes seeing each other’s eyes through the clothes.
