Time consistency and instant irreplaceability

After watching this movie three times, Sober finally watched it. The first time I was on the trip, the second time I was stoned, so from the perspective of visuals and music, I still have a bit of a say, very awesome. In terms of light and shadow, there are very few ones, which may be worse than American Beauty's light and shadow.

Tell me about what this film says in my eyes, or what makes me think about it as an individual. But casually, after watching the film, I took a quick look at the director's profile. He said that when he was shooting this series, he had begun to use the film as a medium to pursue the topic he was most interested in, that is, the ultimate relationship between mankind. Well, so I think my opinion should be close to what the film itself wants to express.

Movies can be divided into several levels. The first level, needless to say, is the reincarnation of life and life, and the meaning derived from life and life. Babies turn into bones, bones turn into statues, statues turn into beliefs, and the objectifications of beliefs drift away with the wind (sand paintings)/eroded (murals)/forgotten (stone statues in the depths of the desert). These living things become inanimate, even super-living, and then use another form to irrigate the continuation of life, either with solid nutrients, or with illusory images. These thick strokes that have been drawn in a certain form in a certain place will eventually exist in a completely different form as time and space change. This law that all things change their forms to expand the dimensions of the world along with the changes of time and space is also one of the destiny of mankind.

When I saw this when I was watching a movie, the first word that appeared in my mind was the consistency of time. I think I can use this phrase to express the first layer above. Then the second layer is instant irreplaceability. This is actually very easy to understand. It is precisely because everything is constantly changing to expand the dimensions of the world, so every existence has its own uniqueness. Every life has its meaning. Every memorial/ceremony has its own unique derivation.

There are a large number of neatly arranged shots in the film. In the factory, thousands of people, dressed in uniform uniforms, masks, gloves, are processing a steady stream of chickens/mobile phones/cars/irons/etc. etc. on the assembly line in a neat and uniform manner; Ten thousand cars, different cities, carrying totally different people, at the same early morning and dusk every day, at the same speed, to a point that is equally predictable; people of different countries and different beliefs, because The same thing: Religion, in the long river of history, "forever" has to condense in large numbers. And these may be any person, every day's life, may be any human life, no human being can be an exception, she/he is not like this, just like that. You may already know what I want to say, repetition, gathering, is also one of the destiny of mankind. It is very creepy to be put on the sidelines of a movie from such an angle. Because fundamentally, what it wants to convey is that the existence of different individuals is condensed together in a way to become a phenomenon or a larger existence. This is the fate that every individual cannot escape. What kind of way to live, what kind of people to be part of, what kind of labels and symbols to use to express and extend the will of oneself, some of these are optional, and many are not. This is not so much a reminder of human beings to start thinking "how to choose, how to nagivate the self in the gap between the individual and the group", rather it is telling us "how do you want to live every second of yours, do you want to be the thousand One of the ten thousand points, what kind of existence should you gather every second of your time, in what way to be remembered, and in what way to be obliterated, forgotten, and continue to exist." It is possible to think, but perhaps it is to be killed. Topics firmly nailed in the common destiny of mankind.

Is it scary? I think this is really scary. This is tantamount to telling me that the more I think about the meaning of my existence, and even the meaning of superexistence, the more I choose to record, extend, and prove my existence in that way, the more I fall into this trap. Whether I choose to be a hippy at this moment, I believe in the concept of liberal, I practice vegan, love nature, and tolerantly accept all kinds of opinions; or I chose to be a goalist at the time, practicing every day until the goal is reached, From another higher dimension, there is no difference, just like other human beings, they are just neatly arranged ants.

Is that scary? I feel really terrified. But you can also say that this is just an idea. Like all thoughts, it's not like this, it's like that. You do not accept this idea, there is another idea. But the reason for the horror of this movie is because it has reached a height, which is the same height as the director's life goal: to explore the fundamental connection between humans. That is: it has brought to you a large amount of time and space in human history, and sturdyly photographed it in front of you in a high-level form of expression, and asked you: Look, isn't it like this?

There are some things that come to mind when watching movies:

1. People and objects are sometimes the same, when the purpose is greater than the intention or even vague intention.

2. Then everyone who is really special has his own life, don't miss your priviledge anymore. But there is no need to bury the wrongs too much, because the face of human life is basically the same.

3. This kind of reincarnation is also social. It is difficult for a group to escape the fate of its ancestors, neighborhood, and group.

If you have watched this video, I hope my perspective can provide you with new ideas. If you haven't read it, I hope you can take a good look one day. It will be a good experience.
