Since his divorce from his wife, John (John C. Reilly) has been single, and the news that his ex-wife is about to get married is like a sharp knife, once again inserted into John’s heart, and he is agitated. I kept attending the wedding party of my ex-wife. Unexpectedly, at the party, John met the beautiful and gentle Molly (Marisa Tomei), the two attracted to each other and soon fell in love.
The good times didn't last long, and the appearance of a man named Cyrus (Jonah Hill) cast a shadow over the relationship between John and Molly. It turned out that Cyrus was Molly's son, and for the 21-year-old boy, John, who appeared out of nowhere, was obviously unpopular. Caught between Molly and Sellers, John is in a dilemma. Can he succeed in gaining Sellers' approval? Where should the relationship between him and Molly go?
