Start with baby

At the beginning of last year, I planned to watch the show, but now it is finished, and this procrastination is not cured.

I have always stayed away from Christian movies and TV shows. After watching "The Passion of the Christ" and "The Last Temptation of Christ", especially the latter, it left me with an unspeakable shadow of the soul. For this reason, during the time when I was crazy about Ridley Scott, "Kings of Heaven" didn't catch the eye.
Of course, I chose this show because of Jude Law. The kind-hearted people among the fans call him "Qiu Hua", the ridiculers call him "Qiu Tu" or "Fortune King", and I am the "male god". If you want to add an adjective, it must be "the only and eternal male god."

I read Jane Eyre a long time ago and described St. John like this—“He is very young—twenty-eight to thirty—tall and tall. His face is eye-catching, like a Greek face, contoured Perfect, with a straight classical nose, a full-length Athenian mouth and chin. To be honest, the British face is rarely so similar to his classical face. His own facial features are so well-proportioned, maybe to mine He was a little surprised at the unevenness. His eyes were big and blue, with brown eyelashes, his high forehead was as pale as ivory, and a few strands of golden hair were accidentally draped over his forehead. "

I have never understood the Greek style. How perfect his face was, until I saw Vasily in "The Soldiers Under the City". This description suddenly popped into my mind, yes, it was Jude Law's face!

When evaluating masculine beauty, it often falls into two extremes, either with sword eyebrows and stars, full of good looks, or "soft sex" and "goodness is charming", which is extremely feminine. This is the traditional aesthetic. There are many genres nowadays. Uncle Yupi and Xiao Xianrou are in charge, and they are all in their eyes, and no one can say that they are gorgeous.

There has always been a saying on Weibo that Xiao Li and Qiu are two representatives of "beauty without knowing it". Compared with Xiao Li's tossing himself into the rough in order to hone his acting skills, Qiu is "I've never been a great believer in relying on good looks to get you through. To me it's all about the work and what you do in the workplace ." Despite this, he has not played an unbeautiful role, even if it is a supporting role, he can successfully steal the spotlight with a face, see Wilde, genius Ripley, Holmes, etc.

If you can confer a god with just one face, then I'm too spineless. Qiu's lines are solid and his eyes are dramatic. After all, he is a British orthodox stage actor who has been immersed in Broadway for many years. These two advantages have been greatly brought into play in the Pope. Several public speeches, tone, pause, stress, control of facial expressions, application of gestures, and body shaking are very contagious. When kneeling down and praying, a dozen "you must" became more determined and determined every time.

The female lead is a nun and the costume can't hide the beauty of Diane Keaton. I think I know the Pope, but I don't. There is actually a line of emotion in the later period.

Silvio Orlando

Mature and beautiful Cécile De France

Ludivine Sagnier with innocent eyes like a deer

Javier Cámara, who took the initiative to play. Worthy of being someone who has starred in Almodóvar movies, there are waves that cannot be hidden behind his calm eyes.

Director Paulo Sorrentino had the success of "The Beautiful City", building the Vatican effortlessly, the panoramic view was set up in the studio, and even the clothes were the shopkeepers who made clothes for the real pope. The light and shadow and the composition are beautiful, quite the true story of Minghella. Qiu walked in the sun in snow-white clothes, a holy and soft halo shrouded all over his body.

The soundtrack is very different, rock, folk, pop, easy to come by, flexible. In the beginning, the young pope strode through the famous paintings in rock music, energetic and smug, then blinked at the camera, and the old pope behind him fell to the ground.

Screenwriters are the most criticized. The first few episodes have no clue, no ups and downs (in fact, there are no very intense conflicts in the whole show), and there are a lot of foreshadowings. The last few episodes are solved in a concentrated way, giving a sense of top priority. In the beginning, the young pope was almost an enemy of the world. He smokes, does not show mercy, stands above him, and is not good at covering up. He has a fatal weakness, but he has never been subverted by his opponents, because "Do you think you are smart? Are you a politician? Wrong, I am more mature and cunning than you."

The three clues that run through are the challenges of internal and external forces, the reform and rectification of the religious system, and the search for parents' journey. The first clue is finished in the middle and latter part, and the last two are finished in the last episode. Ten episodes are long enough to tell a complete story, but it seems cramped, especially the first one. Perhaps everyone in the setting of the story obeys one of the most lofty goals, so the pope who is consistent with this goal becomes the person they must follow in reality, so that all changes can be convincing.

The opponents wanted to catch his fault, the people around him wanted to transform him into the pope in their minds, and the people wanted to look up to him and rely on his strength for comfort. He didn't give them any chance, he listened to his heart from beginning to end. When this baby pope finally grows up, a reconciliation with the world is finally reached.

I don't know much about Christianity, so I don't comment much. But even from the perspective of the onlooker, the absurdity and exaggeration of the plot may arouse a lot of people's disgust.

The second season has been renewed, look forward to more exciting.
