I took myself to court

The profession of lawyer who has never caught a cold, Judgement, what a cold-blooded term! But in this film, we saw this lawyer who insists on his ideals. The first half of the film made me passionate. It is always difficult to pursue. He runs into a wall everywhere but he is independent. The hero also has to solve the problem of eating. It is quite realistic, so He chose the one hundred thousand bounty. I understand it very well, but it's just a pity. The law is never perfect. Suits, sneakers, and houses are no match for the torment of my conscience.

I don’t know much about legal terminology! What I sigh is that the protagonist is more like us. Of course, we don't commit crimes. But from the heart, in this profit-oriented and money-oriented society, dreams are sometimes just an insignificant decoration. In the torrent of reality, how many things have you lost? The original intention is just to coax myself to make myself lose so ugly. In fact, I have already lost completely, but looking at the deposit in the bank and the peaceful life, maybe we just won not so glorious.

Finally, back to the movie, the soundtrack is really heartfelt, the acting like the textbook, the supporting role is more handsome than the protagonist, and the ending tends to be gloomy, which can be said to be a divine turning point.

If you are still holding on to your dreams, congratulations, please continue your performance.

Roman J. Israel, Esq. quotes

  • Roman J. Israel, Esq.: We are formed of frailty and error. Let us pardon reciprocally each other's follies. That is the first law of nature.

  • Roman J. Israel, Esq.: You know, all those years of practicing, scouring law books, achieving technical triumphs through loopholes and ambiguities, none of which were adequate to save me from the reality of my present situation. Then today, in the middle of nowhere, lost, I had a revelation; an insight so sweeping, so clear. It's me George. See, I didn't see it before because I never experienced the other side. I'm the defendant and the plaintiff simultaneously. I file against myself, I represent myself, I convict myself, hereby expanding the full scope of the legal desert, because the judgment's built in. The only thing left is forgiveness and I grant that to myself. An act doesn't make the person guilty unless the mind is guilty as well.
