The universe in your eyes

After watching "The Invisible Guest", I learned that this "Julia's Eyes" is the director's screenwriter work. I admired it. I thought it was a similar story. After watching it, I realized that it was completely different.

Cool colors are almost throughout the entire story. Darkness, shadows, dark blue nights, cold interiors, and fuzzy gray areas fill the whole movie with a gloomy and humid atmosphere, always worrying about the next one. What an unfortunate thing.

The story continues according to the time of the event and the perspective of the heroine Julia. There is no interruption or flashback. The timeline is very smooth. As the eyesight of the heroine changes, the picture presented in front of her also changes between clear and fuzzy. Very immersive.

The clues appear slowly in each plot advancement, layer by layer, and the details become clear under the lens. When you look at it, you can almost grasp all the details and doubts, and it is not difficult to guess the identity and psychology of the murderer. , But still feel worried and nervous about the heroine's experience.

Until all the dust settles, the end of the film sweeps the gloomy tone of the whole movie, presenting a deep and gorgeous, almost gorgeous and romantic universe starry sky.

This is the meaning of the movie's name.

On the surface, this film is a series of suspenseful events triggered by the death of the heroine's sister, but in the emotional drama with little ink, there is a touching romantic love.

Julia believes that her sister did not commit suicide because she could not bear the pain of blindness. She has been reluctant to give up and insisted on investigating. This is what she cares about. However, her husband, Isaac's only concern is her eyes— —He was worried that she would go blind under pressure and repeat the mistakes of her sister. For Isaac, she is the most important thing. The starting point for everything he does is to protect her, help her, and guard her. To be honest, he didn't care if Julia's sister committed suicide, he just didn't want to see Julia also blind.

Isaac didn't make many appearances, and even died when he was less than halfway through the film. But every time he played, he was extremely gentle and made people clearly feel his deep love for Julia.

He comforted his wife who had not been in contact with his sister for a long time due to a quarrel, helped arrange the funeral, communicated with the sheriff and doctor, and even communicated with his sister Sara about the effect and progress of corneal surgery in advance. Satisfied with the date, and angered by the pressure of his wife's vain eyes, and in time after being killed, he still donated his cornea to his wife.

There are three mentions of such lines in the movie. Isaac said that Julia has the entire universe in her eyes.

For the first time, they were in the hotel. Julia was afraid that she would eventually lose her sight. She was afraid that Isaac would never see the universe in her eyes again. She was upset, and Isaac asked her to close her eyes and told her to it's here.

For the second time, Julia, who had undergone surgery and was in recovery period, covered her eyes with gauze. She mentioned her date with Isaac to the "care worker" Ivan who was taking care of herself. When she mentioned the universe, Isaac was watching she. The nostalgia and touch in the tone will tell at a glance how much they love each other.

For the third time, she went to see Isaac's body before going blind again, crying and kissing. Before losing her sight, she stumbled to the mirror and looked in her own eyes. This short restoring time stayed at this moment-she used the eyes Isaac gave her to see her own eyes. There is the whole universe and their love.

In this movie, the heroine has been subjected to shocks, fears, injuries, and betrayal. The tone is always cold, and the only warm colors are lights and candles.

And only her and Isaac's universe is colorful.

Her sister, the murderer, the old man who lives alone and raises a cat and pretends to be blind, the wretched neighbor who is single with his daughter, the little girl who dare not personally offer flowers for a friend’s funeral...everyone is extremely lacking in love, only Julia is not lacking, her Isaac, love her very very much.

So Julia can be strong, even if she is about to lose her light again, she will still live hopefully.

  • Créspulo: [to Julia, about the "Invisible Man"] Be careful. The man who was with your sister had very angry eyes. He knows how to be a shadow. If someone feels invisible and is angry at the world, he can be dangerous. He has no lights. Nobody looks at him. He could sneak up on you and before you realise...
