On his birthday, 11-year-old Bobby only received a free book loan card from his mother, not the bicycle he was thinking of. He felt very unhappy. Since the death of his father, he has hardly been happy again. He just lives with his selfish and mean mother and listens to her complaints from time to time. But one day, an old gentleman named Ted moved into his house upstairs, and Bobby's life changed.
I can hardly describe how I feel about this movie. There is warmth, healing, sadness, and regret. The story is always covered in a layer of dreamy color, that is every child's childhood dream. The appearance of Ted made up for some of the shortcomings in Bobby's heart about his father's love. When he read the newspaper carefully for Ted, because he was worried about his safety, he rushed to hug him, and the screen overflowed with love.
In fact, Ted is not only the image of a father, but also a mentor and friend. That summer with Ted, Bobby and his favorite girl, Carol, shared their thoughts on the Ferris wheel, played with two friends on the train tracks in the sunset, and listened attentively to Ted’s telling him "Ben Qiang" Sen said, Time is a bald old liar" and, time and time again, looking at that shiny bicycle through the window...It was
so beautiful, so beautiful to be unreal. That summer when Ted was there, Bobby stretched and ran happily, as if he had forgotten the feeling of worry, but Ted had to leave in the end. That night, Bobby bravely walked through the alleys of adults and retrieved Ted's money in the bar, but when he was ready to hand it over to Ted, Ted had been taken away by the man in black. He shouted to Bobby in the car: I will never regret knowing you, forever!
At that moment, there seemed to be something shattering in the air.
Bobby never saw Ted again. He cried and uttered his dissatisfaction with his mother. He squashed the senior student who bullied him. He moved and left Carol, and never contacted him as agreed. His childhood is over, and it whizzes away with the wind that night. From then on, Bobby lived in the adult world and lost the possibility of returning to the city of Atlantis forever.
Watching this movie reminds me of many childhood memories. The shaky time under the dappled sunlight. I was swinging under the big poplar tree behind my aunt’s house and then squatting in the corner alone, feeling dizzy; I went to steal her little carrots with a girl younger than me, and lined them up as if they were killed in battle. Guard; I once chased a rabbit that didn't know where it came from and chased it into the cornfield with my friend, until I saw a huge tomb. That scene often appeared in my dreams later-corn leaves covered the sky, and I stood there, unable to find my way home.
Time is a bald old liar. We may also have met our own Ted. He taught you to perceive the taste of the world, and then let you understand that nothing is the same forever. You are heartbroken again and again until you understand that this is the norm in life. We fumbled and grew up alone, and walked to places that we didn't even anticipate. One day we gradually stopped talking, but the softest part of our hearts was still like Bobby, looking forward to handing over the money to Ted that night, so that he could see himself becoming so brave.
The actor playing Bobby is Russian child star Anton Eugene. He is known to me for playing Chekhov in the new version of "Star Trek", and I like this character very much. He died in a car accident in June at the age of 27. Two days after watching "Heart of Atlantis", I suddenly recognized the actor, and I suddenly felt sad. When Eugene was young, when he was young Bobby, could he foresee his fate?
"When you were young, there were some happy moments. You thought you lived in a dream, just like Atlantis. Later, when we grew up, our hearts were broken in half."
I still feel dizzy. From the moment I stepped down on the swing in my childhood, this dream has continued. The shadow of the plants in the dream covered the sky and the sun, and I ran barefoot on the endless road.
"I never regret knowing you".
"Star Trek: Beyond the Stars" has been released. I would like to use this article to commemorate Anton Eugene, who died young.
