"Man bites a dog" is a feature film that is more documentary, and it is said to be a graduate work.
The film lifted the cloak of moral judgment, and traced his continuous killing process by intervening in the daily life of the killer hero Bennot. The language of the entire documentary lens is not cold, but there are many absurd plots. This is reflected in the continuous interaction between the protagonist and the film crew behind it. The film crew has become an indispensable member of the plot. The film crew members have stepped out of the camera several times to help Bennott handled the corpse, cleaned up the scene, and even became an accomplice of Bennott's murder. In one of the shootout scenes, the sound effect engineer Patrick was shot to death, Bennott cleverly used the photographer's zoom lens to find an opponent; in another shootout, the film crew also died, Leigh Mi stood up again to express his condolences to his colleague who died; the director occasionally interviewed Bennot, and when Bennot talked about homosexuality, he would also ask if he minded talking about this topic.

The film crew constantly shuttles in and out of the camera, completing the journey of restructuring the roles of actors, photography, sound effects, and directors. In the advancement of tension and soothing rhythm, interspersed poems alleviated the tension of the audience.

The actor Bennott combines murder with poetry. He improvised poetry many times. He said, "Dove, wearing a gray cloak, flying in the hellish city sky, disappears in a blink of an eye, your elegance Let me be in awe." Once at the dinner table, Bennott became poetic again, and some poetic fragments appeared in the film: the sea, sand gulls, waves, tidal flats... However, before the poem was finished, he began to roll. It seems very absurd when vomiting.

The atmosphere in which Bennott gets along with his family and lover in the lens is always pleasant, and the background music sounds particularly cheerful. In the eyes of Bennott's family, Bennott is still a child, and their eye contact is still full of love, and his girlfriend also appears in the film. A woman who can play music and art with Bennot in a social sense, his beloved Valerie, they met when they were young.

The film not only has the reconstruction of the film's identity, but also the changes before violence and poetry, weakened narrative, random switching of scenes, dazzling shots, and breath of life that rush to the face, which is exactly what the poetic documentary wants to capture. As a viewer, you will constantly wonder whether the arrangement of these plots was carefully planned. If the director, photographer and actor were killed in the last shot, and the camera fell to the ground to announce the end of the film, then who was the one who shot these last shots? ? The film ended its life in its own hands, but left the audience thinking.
