List of sergeants

The theme of World War II is not popular, and next year's "Dunkirk" may bring that period of history back to the table. Speaking of World War II, everyone may be more familiar with "Schindler's List" or even "Inglourious Basterds". The following four movies I want to talk about, "War Day", "Boy in Striped Pajamas", "Mine Field", "A Beautiful Life", are all unpopular films. Briefly introduce these few, there is nothing to read or write recently, so let's get a sense of existence.
1. "War Day": For the sake of dignity, this is the meaning of resistance.

Last year's popular Danish war film, the format of the film is really small and pitiful, there is not even a decent explosion. Denmark is adjacent to Germany, and Germany has concluded a peace treaty with it. Afterwards, the German army pressed into Denmark and used a few armored vehicles and equipped with infantry companies. Withdrawing from the rear, the cycling team is not only small in number, but also shockingly equipped. The firefight is not about twisting your arms and legs, but a real egg hitting a rock. Denmark is a weak country with few people, and its role playing in World War II can be omitted, but the pain caused by the war falls on everyone, exactly the same.
The cycling team was the only team in Denmark that fought to the end on the day of the war. The sense of despair and powerlessness spread in the resistance and fighting and retreating. In contrast to the government that had already surrendered, the people who surrendered and watched the German army enthusiastically along the way. The question that the film throws to the audience is, what is the meaning of resistance?
As the advance team officer said: "Now is the time to show our qualities."
2. "The Boy in Striped Pajamas": The Judgment of Children

An alternative story of the infamous Auschwitz concentration camp during the war. Outside the concentration camp lived a family of high-ranking Nazi officials. The little boy Bruno didn't know what his father had done, and he was proud of his father, a loyal military officer. The concentration camp was mistaken for a farm by the little boy in the lies of the adults. After leaving his playmate, Bruno, who was lonely and bored, broke into the camp by mistake, met the Jewish boy on the farm (concentration camp), and quickly developed friendship.

In the eyes of a child who is not contaminated by crime, the concentration camp is a farm where workers work. The adults and children on the farm are just strangely working in striped pajamas. When Bruno wore striped pajamas and walked into the concentration camp with his partner, the trial really began.
3. "A Beautiful Life": A fairy tale derived from sin

I didn't really understand this film for a while, thinking it was just like its title, it was a family drama or something. After watching it, I really take it, how difficult the story of "A Beautiful Life" is to shoot. The story of the Nazi concentration camp, with serious and serious propositions, does not show any signs of tragedy in the first half of the film.

"Service is high-precision art", just like this line in the film, "A Beautiful Life" is also a rare high-precision art. The film set up many flags in the early stage. After a family entered the concentration camp, they reappeared one by one yesterday. This deliberate coincidence and accidental immersion in the concentration camp, the kind of past can only be recollected, and the sense of hopelessness that sin never ends has spread. , Mixed with the thick smoke in the crematorium.
I don't think the film reveals any optimism in life, it is just an extremely absurd expression of father's love, a bit like "Xu Sanguan Selling Blood".
4. "Minefield": List of Sergeant Majors

This film is a recent resource, and it is also a Danish war film. It is about a post-war story. The film adopts the same perspective as "Boys in Striped Pajamas", reflecting on World War II (war) through the tragic deaths of "Hitler Boys".
After the defeat of Germany, tens of thousands of prisoners of war were forced to stay in Denmark to remove the landmines that were buried on the coastline during the war. In fact, to put it bluntly, the invaders who have been invaded hope to die like flies to relieve their hatred. The Danish officer in the film was hesitating between evil and good. In the end, the death of most of the children replaced the hatred in his heart and ushered in a complete forgiveness.

History belongs to the victors, but no one holds the victors accountable; the war is controlled by a very small number of people, but tens of thousands of innocent people are crushed with good intentions, how many people still care about the war 60 years ago, Without reflection, how can human beings talk about progress? This movie probably means that, but the process of demining on the coastline is really cruel and terrifying.
