In this film, which targets girls, is full of deep sadness and the theme refers to reality and is heavy, the positive narrative only appears once, that is, at the beginning of the film, Lale tears away from school. This is the sadness of the end of knowledge. . Like the children of hundreds of millions of human beings, young girls are curious about new knowledge by nature, and relative to the free environment represented by home school, they are undoubtedly like the water where fish grow, and this nature can be used like water plants.
I believe there were two tears concealed behind the camera, which were buried in the sudden death of the third sister and the reunion with Teacher Dilek in Istanbul.
In the death of the third sister, the camera did not deliberately exaggerate grief. First, the two girls were still young and things came suddenly. Meet the truth. The second reason is that the story presented by the director itself is a huge tragedy that has been brewing for a long time. It is redundant to record the tears again.
The reunion with the teacher, to be more precise, to find the teacher, represents a huge victory for a cardamom girl. The piece of Delacroix's "Freedom to Lead the People" drawing paper that was confiscated by her grandmother for corruption is now even more symbolic. In that embrace, the grievances, hardships, fears, innocence, and freedom in it are concentrated in a small body at the same time, which is moving. "My dear." 2. Social reflection
Although this film is the director’s debut, it has inherited the consistent spirit of reflection from French films and even French thought circles (such as the Frankfurt School).
1) The confrontation with grandmothers, uncles, and others constituted a large part of the film's tension, the feudal bondage of the family, and the social ills of growing up across generations.
2) Girls seem to be the epitome of young women in the whole society. The blood relationship of sisters has been artificially watered down. What we see is only five women who grow together (in fact, there are other women in the grandmother's generation).
3) Lale is the only girl who likes to watch football, giving football, a traditional male sport, gender diversity. The grandmother's acquiescence to the request of going to watch the game also reflects the demands of women on the social level. 3. In the process of watching the movie, I personally felt the most and even shed tears in three episodes: the first time was when the third sister was laughing at the dinner table and then suicide suddenly.
