The 2010 Copiapo mine disaster, also known as the Chilean mine disaster. The site of the accident was located at the Mina San José mine, 45 kilometers north of Copiapo, Atacama, Chile. On August 5, 2010, 33 miners were trapped in a deeper location where the mine collapsed. Until the 70th day of the incident, at 0:12 local time on October 13, 2010, the first miner was successfully rescued.

There were no victims in the mine disaster, so it became international news and broke the world record. The entire rescue plan cost about 10-20 million U.S. dollars, one third of which was donated by private companies, and the rest was paid by Chilean state-owned mining company Codelco and the Chilean government. The rescue operation used Phoenix escape capsule (Phoenix).

On October 13, at 0:12 local time, the first miner was successfully rescued. At 9:56 in the evening of the same day, the 33rd miner was rescued, all in safety.

All the miners who suffered this mine disaster were men. They are 32 from Chile and 1 from Bolivia. One of them is Franklin Robles, who is the national football player of Chile's former national football team. Participated in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.

Admire the quality and discipline of the 33 miners, as well as the government's open and transparent ability to do things. It is no wonder that Chile has become the most developed country in South America.
