Thornton is the heavyweight champion. He has since retired from boxing after he killed his opponent with a fatal blow. He returned to his hometown of Ireland from the United States. It is the phantom produced by thirst. Mary secretly helped Thornton clean the ancestral property. With this expression, Thornton told McLean as a matchmaker, but Mary's brother Will blocked it. Thanks to the help of Father Ronnagen and Pastor Prevor, she got married. Will likes the widow of Tyran, so he asks Mary to marry him. After the risk is found out, he becomes angry and only gives Mary a little dowry. The Irish folklore is conservative. Mary thinks that withholding the dowry is an insult to her husband, and she often complains and asks for it to be taken back, but Thornton has no intention of fighting for fame and wealth. Mary thinks that her husband is a coward, afraid that the villagers will make fun of her and want to escape her hometown. Thornton drags her back to her natal home. Fighting with Will, a fierce fight Will was convinced by the beating, Mary realized that her husband was not a coward, and she was as good as ever...
