What am I watching when I watch a gay movie

Few movies can make me so awkward after watching. Although I just finished watching [Road Home] in South Korea two days ago, after showing similar emotional tones for movies with different themes, I still couldn't calm down my excitement for a long time. As a result, after turning off the computer, they rarely leaned against the bedside, in a daze in the sultry atmosphere of the night.
Looking at the mainstream film market now, Hollywood is dominated, and individualistic hero movies seem to be the guarantee of the box office. Major film companies rely on a crowd of muscular men who have no worries about food and clothing, and no shortage of girls, are plundering the global market. Fans' pockets are becoming more and more empty. Then let a few twisted directors make a few literary and artistic movies, and win a few awards, ok, this is the end of the year. So when I saw a movie like Normal Heart appearing, when I had such a cast, I deeply guessed that this is a movie that appeared to win an award.
For this kind of movies, we can’t force how exciting the plot is, but it’s often the accumulation of such overly realistic plots. As watching continues, the unspeakable mood turns back into constant fermentation and heating, until When the film's ending subtitles appeared, the disappointment reached was enough to make our eyes wet.
Back to the topic, when I watch a gay movie, what am I watching? It must not be like the life of Adele, spying on the sexual intercourse scenes between women and women, I believe that every straight man will feel resentful when he sees two people roll the bed. Because of my habit before watching the film, I was determined not to search for relevant information and comments on the Internet. Therefore, in the first half of the film, I was always guessing what kind of disease this is, until Emma told the patient about you. My immune system has almost collapsed before I understand that this is AIDS. It was in the second half of the film that the mentality of watching gay movies was transformed from a mentality of watching gay movies to a heavy mentality of the history of AIDS.
In fact, when it comes to this kind of subject matter, we can easily think of the big winner of last year’s Oscars, Dallas Buyers and Club, which also tells the story of AIDS. The former is a more open and motivating struggle, while this one chose to stay silent. Constantly moaning in the middle. The former occurred in the post-AIDS era. The world already knows the horror of AIDS, but the government still adopts an ambiguous attitude towards it. And this movie took place in the early stage of the discovery of AIDS. Both the government and medical institutions are evading this question consciously or unconsciously, regardless of whether it is related to homosexuality.
So far, the two major contradictions in the film have appeared, homosexuality and AIDS, two such taboo topics have appeared together at the same time, enough to sting the dark corners of people's hearts at any time. Starting from Brokeback Mountain, movies with same-sex themes gradually walked out of the niche, with a curious mentality, and dared to face the audience with a more confident and open mind. The film also no longer entangles whether the same sex is correct, but allows comrades to step out of the story, return to everyone, and act out the story. Ordinary mind pays more attention to the description of this link. Everyone, whether it is Ned's brother, Phoenix, Bruce's withdrawal, and Tommy's help, is all because of the same-sex inferiority complex. The quarrels between characters are often blamed on being homosexual and failing to get the help and attention they deserve. In other words, in that era, being gay, I felt guilty and shameless. It is the existence of this mentality that makes everyone so vivid. Of course, this does not exclude Ned, the man who kept shouting and maddening throughout the film, even shouted the most vulnerable scream in the White House.
At this point, we might as well take a look at the cast, Mark Ruflow, the former Hulk, so that every time Ned gets angry, he is afraid of his transformation. Choosing a subversive role like Oath this time is obviously at the pace of preparing for the award. Matthew Bomer, the thief in the cat and mouse game, and more importantly, this guy is indeed a comrade, but for this movie, crazy weight loss, a bit like Christian Bale in the mechanics of the year. Jim Parsons, needless to say, the great and lovely Xie Er, to be honest, I can see him on the big screen, and I am always afraid of what he said wrong. Of course, Xie Er is gay. everybody knows. As for Julia Roberts, there is a film queen, should the major film festivals give some face? After analyzing the cast, I found that this is such a hard-working film, the goal of winning the award is so clear, and the strength of the award is so strong.
Going back to the beginning of the article, after the blockbuster we experienced, after the repeated bombing of heroes, can we still calm down to appreciate and think about a step-by-step movie? The answer is yes, just shoot with your heart. Can we use sensitive topics to attract the audience? The answer is yes, but the premise is that the topic is quoted properly.
Let's discuss some details in the film. Ned's brother was unwilling to help his brother, even when Ned asked: You admit that you and I are the same. My brother also denied it with difficulty. Although the mayor is gay, he is unwilling to come forward to support him. The staff member received by the White House even asked if it is contagious only between homosexuals. As for recruiting prostitutes, heterosexuals are fine. Obviously, for outsiders, this is a punishment for homosexuality. We don't have to worry about him. After everyone in the health committee has gradually agreed with this view, everyone has gradually withdrawn.
The film took place in 1981. It had a beginning but not an end. Even at the end of the film, we only saw Tommy answering the phone silently and taking Phoenix's business card from his business card holder. For the group of people in that era, they might have the same choices as Tommy, and they could endure silently, even if someone around them was screaming, but in fact, everyone knew in their hearts that it was just a futile effort.
For this movie, I want to say a lot, but I can say very little. Maybe only movies that really touch people's souls have such an effect.
At the end of writing, I thought of some gay friends around me. Maybe in China, how is today in 2014 different from the day in 1981? Apart from self-deception and true inferiority complex, what is left is public ignorance.
When I watch gay movies, maybe I just watch them around me
