I'm talking about this film "The End of the World", the English name is "Armageddon", which was released in 1998. The director is Michael Bay, who has filmed "Stone Break" before and is now filming "Transformers". I don't know why China Film didn't introduce this film that year. Instead, I found a film with the same theme, "Deep Impact" (Deep Impact). The latter was depressed and I didn't want to enter the cinema for a long time.
I haven't had anything to do recently, playing with the film in my hand, and found that time is a good thing. Ten years later, the young and young hairs on the screen showed the posture of superstars. As for the plot, I won’t say more about it. Anyway, it’s the Hollywood standard sci-fi action movie, with alternative ideas, magnificent scenes and fierce plot. Even if you look at it today, it’s a masterpiece in science fiction movies. God knows how the IMDB score of 5.7 came out.
Let's take a look at Cast first, there are a few old drama bones that I like. There happens to be a still picture here, which includes almost all the leading and supporting roles.
The guy on the left who only raised his head is Steve Buscemi. I like his fringe characters in this film and "Flying Wings", but unfortunately I won’t be able to keep it in the evening when I get older, so I went to shoot. Bad films like "Escape from the Clone Island". Steve is a respectable actor who was ranked 52nd in the "100 Most Famous Movie Stars in Film History" by the British "Empire" magazine in October 1997. Want to see masterpieces? Go to Quentin's "Falling Water Dog".
The second from the left is the familiar Will Patton (Will Patton), everyone must have seen his wonderful performance in "The Postman". What? You said "The Postman" is a niche movie, haven't you seen it? Well, he is the boss of Zeta Jones in Sean Connery's "The Trap".
The black man on the right of Bruce is the scenic Michael Clarke Duncan. This guy is a three-line supporting role favored by N many directors. In the ten years since his debut in 1995, he has made 60 films. Although they are all supporting roles:-(. Think about it carefully, you can surely recall that in "The Green Mile", "Nine Codes", "Planet of the Apes", "Scorpion King", "Dare Devil", "Sin City", "Escape from the Island of Clone" "…. There is even his role in the unreleased "Transformers".
Oh, here are Ben Affleck and Owen Wilson, I don’t need to introduce this, I believe many idiots know about it. It will be more than me. But when this film was made, Ben had just made his debut. Although he successfully reached the summit of Billy Foshan with "Mind Catcher" and Matt Damon, he certainly did not expect to have today's popularity. As for Wilson, he was just a "dead trick" at that time. Although he is still doing tricks from time to time, the word "dead" has been removed, haha.
The last is our heartthrob Liv Tyler. I remember that when "The Lord of the Rings 1" was released, someone in the theater couldn't help muttering to Liv Taylor, who had just appeared on stage: Sister God!
Comrade Liv is not a prolific actor. Especially in recent years, there has been no other work except "The Lord of the Rings", and her previous films are not necessarily so wonderful. I thought it was because her appearance was too pure, which led to the narrow play, so it could only be a short-lived in the late 1990s.
During the filming of "The End of the World", it should be her peak period in Hollywood. Therefore, although it is a role of a vase, the director has given quite a lot of scenes and has the opportunity to feast my eyes on me.
