Tom in the movie said he is a horse-speaker, but he is actually not as eloquent as this translation. He is more of a wise man who relies on his eyes to observe and his intuition to feel the horse's feelings. Speaking of wise, when I watched movies, I always thought that if I could meet such a wise man in my lifetime, it would be a kind of piano and singing, Phoenix Yufei. But it was such a wise man who wrote a poignant love ensemble with Cher and Annie.
I remember Tom’s last chuckle, tears streaming down his face with Annie; I remember Tom riding far away on the top of the mountain, and holding the lanyard farther and farther with Annie. This love is so beautiful and memorable, but after all, it was only at the wrong time and in the wrong place. After meeting the right person, it was no match for fate.
Love is every whisper I say in your ear. I can't control myself, I can't help but love you, but I can't abandon the whole world for you, and I can't help crying when you leave.
I was wondering if there would be a better ending, but the answer is no after all. They can embrace and dance together, but they can't give up the whole world for each other. This is the only choice a thorough person can make, but he doesn't know whether this kind of seeing through is a blessing or a passing.
I think Tom must be just like his sister-in-law, a girl born in the prairie, not the sweet flower who was born in the city like Annie and his ex-wife. Only when we clearly know that we want to live the same life as each other, and then live in the same home we yearn for, can we truly find happiness, just like Tom's brother and sister-in-law (but they may not have noticed).
The emotions between each kind of relationship in the sentence are abundant and beautiful, and show no flaws. Anne's husband's dedicated love for Anne is tolerant and profound; the mother-daughter love between Anne and her daughter is
stubborn but clumsy; the harmonious and leisurely relationship between everyone in Tom Ranch; the friendship between her daughter and her friends...
Of course, there are bound to be all kinds of helplessness in the world. School classmates' mocking eyes on their daughter, sister-in-law's subtext that she wants to go to Morocco, Anne's paranoia and control, Tom and Anne, but these are the elements that make up the entire film. No worries, it is a fairy tale, not reality, of course the whole film is more perfect like a fairy tale (even if it is a "tragedy").
It is said that the ending of the novel is different from the one in the play. Tom died to save Anne’s daughter, but this is just for the worthlessness of this fabulous man, but there is no such thing as his soft smile and the free and easy riding far away in the play. Of course, this has an inevitable connection with my personal view of love.
All in all, this drama is still worth watching. The picturesque farms and the brisk country tunes also add to the film. Of course, the most beautiful thing is the thorough but mature love between them.
Because of love, I whisper in your ear; because of love, I choose to leave.
