Torchwood, the permutation and combination of Doctor Who letters are quite different from DW. In DW, you can always see Dr to fix all the problems at the end and deal with all kinds of alien creatures. But in TW, you can't hold the same hope. Here, there is no real Good Ending. Because of this, TW feels more real, more like it happened.
Cap.Jack, Owen, Gwen, Tosh, Ianto, plus the shabby old Hub is a very loving group. There is endless work every day, driving a car printed with TORCHWOOD through Cardiff. It's just these, no more.
Humanity in TW is different from DW. In TW, they are all human, unlike Dr. Dr treats extraterrestrial creatures with kindness, and Dr is equal to them. However, TW’s responsibility is to protect the earth, and they have the responsibility to resist alien aggression. Especially Jack, the captain of TW, even more so. Jack considered the problem farther than the team members, and the decision he made did not even understand the team members, but in the end, it was discovered that Jack was right.
Sometimes I see Jack being misunderstood, and I feel really uncomfortable. He didn't want to watch the team members go the wrong way, but no one would listen to his kind reminders. He yelled, but was thought by the team members to suppress them as the captain. He watched the disaster happen, but he was helpless and powerless.
At the end of S2 and S3, Jack was undoubtedly the most painful. He didn't die, but watched his team torn apart. He can't save them, how much he loves his group. Whether it was Owen shot him, Tosh pointed the gun at him, or Ianto brought back his Cyber girlfriend, he never hated them. Their passing is Jack's eternal pain.
Oh, Tosh, this lovely girl, who loves Owen silently, doesn't even have a decent date. Owen, although romantic, he still has a heart that yearns for love. Owen was very brave, and so was Tosh. They fought to the end and did not give up and faced death. Courage is the simplest word for them, but it has great significance.
Ianto, your flirting with Jack adds light to the darkness of TW. Even if he was on the run, he didn't forget his coffee, and helped Jack buy back his favorite coat, oh, and the fast-cooking beans. Ianto said that he only has feelings for Jack, maybe this is the feeling between couples. In the future, no one will help Jack put on a coat before going out. Jack will miss this feeling, I think. Although I don't know how long Jack will remember you in his eternal life. However, I believe that one day, when Jack accidentally heard the name Ianto, there was also a tremor in his heart-for the sacrificed you.
In fact, sometimes I admire Gwen, she can't tell Rhys anything. I am vaguely past each time, hoping not to involve the person I love the most.
Every member of TW is so unwilling to hesitate. Facing the coming of death, they smiled, told each other "I love you", and then stepped into heaven. Maybe heaven is another time and space. One day, they will pass through the cracks of time, return to Jack's side, and return to their beloved Torchwood.
Today I finally got the courage to watch the third season of Torchwood, and finally got the courage to say goodbye to my beloved TW.
There is a sentence in it that I remember deeply:
Gwen said: I often think, when so many disasters happened on the earth, where is the Doctor in Jack's mouth? Why didn't he come to save us? Later I realized that sometimes everything that happened on this planet made the Doctor feel ashamed, so he could only turn around and leave.
Gwen's statement is right. Looking at the behavior of high-ranking government officials, the sense of shame is simply embarrassing. I think Jack's last nod was not because he was close to collapse, but because he knew he should do it. In the end, Jack, or his daughter, was the one who sacrificed the most. In contrast, those who only protect themselves are so dirty.
One day, Jack's daughter might understand why her father nodded at that moment, she would forgive him, I think. Just as an eternal curse, the death of Steven, Ianto, Owen, Tosh, and Suzie will sting Jack's heart forever. A thousand years later, even after becoming the face of Boe, I think he will remember them, especially Ianto, he will not forget what he promised.
This concludes the story about Torchwood Third Division.
Goodbye.
My Torchwood.
